@balaji25_t you are late in forecasting. By the time you posted this message, it is pouring already and we are stuck in traffic for 2 hrs. An alert atleast 30 mins before would have helped us.
When I met an angel during my train journey from Bokaro to Madras (July 1989)
I felt really happy, when I got selected for interviews for MBBS selection process at the prestigious CMC Vellore.
However, there was a major glitch. Having studied at Kendriya Vidyalaya at Bokaro (from class 1 to 12th), our conversations and teaching at school were in Hindi medium. I did not have any experience of conversing in English language.
CMC Vellore had scheduled an interview process (obviously in English) that would last for three days. This thought alone was enough for me to resign to the fate that I stood no chance of getting selected.
I had studied English grammar and composition from Wren & Martin (out of my own interest, as it was not a part of thecurriculum), so, I had a fair bit of competence with English writing skills.
Conversing in English was a totally different game.
I was travelling alone by train from Bokaro (Bihar) to Madras (Tamil Nadu) in sleeper class. Among my co-passengers, there happened to be a Christian priest from Kerala. During initial conversation, I shared my difficulty with him.
He decided to help me. The journey was about 36 hours. Throughout the journey, he continued to converse with me in English.
For his questions- in my mind, I would translate his questions into Hindi, think of my answers in Hindi, then, translate the answer to English and then answer to him. This resulted in 20-30 seconds delay in each answer, but the pastor remained patient. Two days of my conversing with him on the train gave me a bit of confidence to face the interviewers at CMC Vellore.
Two professors who interviewed me at Vellore were: Dr George Kurian (Gastro), and Dr Victor Babu (Ortho). They would have easily noticed my lack of proficiency in English. However, to my luck, they saw something in me, to select me as one of the 4 successful open category candidates (out of 23), who appeared for interviews that year.
Christian priest whom I met on the train was a God-sent angel for me.
Aparna constructions has single handedly reduced the AQI of the #Nallagandla area thanks to an absolute disregard of any measures to limit construction dust. Classic example of might is right. Do no laws apply to them?
The plight of #Nallagandla residents is miserable. Aparna constructions, with no measures to curb construction pollution(both air/noise),this region is becoming the antithesis for peace.Officials must act

People with the most to teach live like they have the most to learn — and Steve loved learning. He was the most curious person I’ve ever met, which made him the best teacher I’ve ever known. Happy birthday, my friend.
If ever there was doubt that our eyes (retinas to be exact) are pieces of brain extruded from the rest to eventually reside outside the cranial vault, see this video. Also why viewing sunlight has such a direct effect on the brain. The eyes are (include) brain. Sound narrated.
