Elon himself brought a full scale falcon rocket mockup to DC in order to get the attention of a potential government client before spacex had a working rocket.
Regardless of whether @ti_morse is successful in attracting Elon or not, I think it's awesome that he's trying this hard. Trying hard is cool.
That's exactly how every startup breaks into enterprise sales. They put in a lot of effort, demos, gifts sent to the office, a dozen emails and calls, all with "no prior contact" so they can GET that initial contact.
For the most successful founders and companies, the work preceeds the first contact, not the other way around.
If you read business biographies, you'll find a lot of stories of scrappy high achievers early in their careers who put in an absurd amount of effort (with no prior contact) in order to get a first meeting with a sales prospect or investor.
I'm surprised by how many people are saying this is cringe or sad.
@ti_morse is building a media business and giving his all to attract great guests!
Putting in maximum effort and taking risks to achieve something is only cringe to people who never try to achieve anything.
Good luck @ti_morse! Idk if you'll succeed or not, but either way it's awesome that you tried this hard!
Trying hard is not cringe! It's what makes you eventually win!
@somedudeokay@ti_morse@elonmusk Trying things is only cringe to people too afraid to try things.
He's building a podcast business and giving it his best shot to grow it. Taking a risk that may or may not pan out but leaving it all on the table. Absolutely nothing cringe about that.
@0interestrates If you are still building a meta agent that infers loops that prompt agents to write code for you, you're already behind.
You should be manifesting visions that are picked up telepathically by your personal AI deity that then reconfigures the world to match your vision.
Last week I installed Starlink with the $120/mo MAX plan.
My wife and I both immediately started having video streaming issues.
We are in central Austin, not the rural boondocks.
Starlink app shows no obstructions and good signal strength.
How is that possible?
@SJosephBurns No.
Even if xAI builds a compute infrastructure business 4x larger than AWS, that would just bring spacex to a 10x PE ratio. And it would take spacex years to build that business. I expect Berkshire to return at least 10% on average without the time delay.
