@DFS_India has issued a strong official directive for the 13th Bi-partite Settlement / 10th Joint Note (effective 01.11.2027).

Today’s Letter (20 April 2026) Key Directions:
➡ Start negotiations immediately
Complete the entire process within a maximum of 12 months
➡ Ensure all consequential amendments to regulations are done well before 01.11.2027
➡ Avoid past delays for maintaining industrial harmony

Past Delays (for reference):

12th Bipartite (due 01.11.2022) → Signed 08.03.2024 → 1 year 4 months delay

11th Bipartite (due 01.11.2017) → Signed 11.11.2020 → 3 years delay

10th Bipartite (due 01.11.2012) → Signed 25.05.2015 → 2 years 7 months delay

This letter is a clear message from the Government to end the long delay culture in wage settlements.

Bankers, this is your moment!

Today is one of the most important days in our fight for 5 days of banking week which is our right .
All that is required today is that UFBU leadership to hold our ground strongly as we did yesterday.
We must go ahead with our 27 january strike unless we have on table a date of implementation of all saturday off from the competent authority from the government of India.
And obviously it was a difficult night for me to sleep for my quota of 6- 7 hours of sleep every night because this 5 days banking week is a mission for trade union activists like me.
I would like to see it as a reality in the next 100 days max and ready to do anything for this noble cause to reduce the stress level of lakhs of our working bankers comrades .
