@right_questionz@diego_claramunt Believing the deposit of the faith taught by the apostles and preserved through apostolic succession is the normative pathway to salvation. Your conclusion that faith requires human reasoning after biblical analysis can't be true for illiterate 2nd century Christians w/no Bibles.
@right_questionz@diego_claramunt Even if I granted P2 as true, the conclusion still doesn't follow.
IF:
Jesus's divinity/Trinity was taught & believed before the formation of the Bible,
THEN:
Logical inference of biblical analysis to hold correct doctrine on behalf of the individual is unnecessary for faith.
@HillChris98203@Beomfloat88@JayDyer No saints in the New testament? Bruh. A quick Google search will prove you wrong on that. There's so many examples that I don't care how you interpret the word saint you'll find the version that you don't like I promise, if you're missing the saints you're missing the point
@TheRightsWriter A lot of talk... But in no way will he ever (and I mean EVER) have a debate with Jay Dyer. His beliefs are too shallow and brittle. If you're a fan of this pastor, I would just say, ask why he will never have his beliefs go up against those he lies about in a live debate.
@TomJose75245504@BishopJaxi I know how you interpret the scripture. I was raised with that interpretation. But how can you justify that new random belief that just popped up after over 1500 years of the apostles teachings? The apostles taught people who wrote stuff down you should read that stuff.
@Glennforguns@Virgini23166650@BishopJaxi Actually a decent question. Not speaking for all of holy orthodoxy but all of those things are necessary. Salvation isn't one time thing: being baptized, participating in the church, it's sacraments, and in the body and blood are all very necessary as the normative path to him
@USNVetDad@BishopJaxi Kind of a "self-own" my guy. In an argument of whether or not baptism saves, ya lifted a quote that includes baptism as a necessary requirement for salvation... And you did it on purpose...
