Support keeps holding around 0.0044.

Why TAO/BTC matters: if BTC runs and the ratio stops falling or turns up, TAO/USD gains leverage.

Conservative path: BTC up, TAO/BTC flat, TAO follows.
Better path: BTC up, TAO/BTC tags 0.006, TAO outperforms.

Some BIG changes coming to the #TAO ecosystem. The first TGIFT back in almost two years, did not disappoint. Here are some updates from tonights #TGIFT🧵

1. Root Auto-sell, No Longer Mandatory

As of Monday, you'll be able to toggle if you want your interest on Root to come as TAO "Risk Free Yield", Or as a basket of alpha tokens.

Thoughts:
- Not sure if you will be able to select the alpha tokens or you'll have to get all alpha tokens "Dust" as a result
- Could put Trusted Stake business model slightly at risk
- Could be an interesting opportunity for DATs to differentiate themselves by holding different baskets of Alpha tokens

2. Updates coming to how we calculate TAO emissions into subnets.

My basic understanding...

Old Calculation: Alpha Price
New Calculation: TAO emissions will be calcluated by a moving average of the TAO flow in/out of your liquidity pool over time.

In Simple Terms: If TAO flows into the liquidity pool are increasing (Positive Motion), emissions increase. If TAO is flowing out, (Negative Motion), emissions decrease.

Reason: While price is a good indicator of value, it is technically what we're trying to incentivize. What we are trying to incentivize are subnets that are good at "sequestering" TAO.

Subnets sequester TAO by getting people to buy into their liquidity pools. More TAO in liquidity pools, less TAO to be sold on open market.

Thoughts:
- This should accelerate the death of extractive subnets
- This should drive high emissions for "top of mind" subnets
- This should reduce the benefit of having early subnets with large liquidity pools
- Subnet emission schedule will become less stable
- This will shake up the subnet leaderboards on Taostats more often

I think most of Bittensor is underestimating @sundaebar_ai. Especially the purists. I see a lot of negative ninnies criticising a bunch of new subnets because the codebase or IM or Vali mechanism isn't live or airtight.

But many of the subnets I see being socially hammered have only been alive for like a month or two. Why is there not more furore towards subnets haven't done anything after 9 months of activity? Or 2 years of inactivity and milking emissions?

Yes it's very early days for Sundae and they're getting their ducks in a row, but they are extremely revenue focused.

Also, the secret sauce that Sundae has which NO subnet has, is the Tradfi capital market linkage.

Technically, they could/literally have the ability to raise mega amounts of money (in dTAO terms) for "cheap" to just buy alpha and choose where on the leaderboard they wish to sit. And keep doing so until revenue plugs the gap...

Sundae is the first and won't be the only. And these chimeras have the ability to think and be capitalised a lot longer than other subnets...

I personally am all for this. It's an inevitable next step of subnet/dTAO maturity as bigger boys n gals enter the space which will ultimately lift the general tide.

When I want an update I just press the little magic wand icon to trigger a status update in claude.

And terminal title shows status as well, never again pasting into the wrong window!
