While the USFA has not yet announced the deaths in Mass. & Tenn., they have been added here. As of today the fire service is at the same record lowest total in 2019. The number of 'interior' LODDs is currently the second-lowest on record.

2 minutes & 17 seconds of gold from retired New Haven, CT, FD Battalion Chief Frank Ricci: Be willing to make yourself uncomfortable by seeking challenging assignments so you can grow. Show initiative & seek out a good senior man as a mentor. Own your mistakes & learn from them.

circumstances.
Another way to increase speed is through training and practice. Speed comes from proficiency and efficiency NOT from rushing. Training and experience reinforce these things by allowing you to eliminate extraneous activities or movements.
