This morning, I hosted leaders from across Garissa County in Bura for the grand opening of Bura Mosque, a significant occasion that brought our communities together in faith, fellowship and unity.

Marriage in Islam is a noble covenant built on faith, love, compassion, and mutual responsibility, a foundation for strong families and cohesive communities.

This afternoon, I joined family of former Mayor of Garissa, Amb. Siyad Osman Beret and friends in witnessing the blessed Nikkah of Rahel Fareed Shariff and Salma Siyad Osman Beret, a beautiful occasion held in Nairobi.

May Allah (S.W.T.) bless their union, grant them a life filled with peace, understanding, and prosperity, and unite both families in lasting goodness and harmony.

Earlier this evening, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs @ForeignOfficeKE, and indeed on behalf of the Government 🇰🇪, I had the distinguished honour of receiving His Majesty King Letsie III of #Lesotho 🇱🇸 upon his arrival in #Nairobi for a 5-day visit.

During the visit, H.E. the President of the Republic of #Kenya will host His Majesty on a courtesy call, to advance some of the discussions that the two leaders had in Nairobi recently (June 2026), on the sidelines of the historic #AfricaForwardSummit.

His Majesty King Letsie III will have an intense programme participating in several activities organized by the @IFRCAfrica and @KenyaRedCross in his capacity as IFRC's Food Security Champion.

It is with profound sorrow that I extend my heartfelt condolences following the passing of His Highness the Father Amir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, father of His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

On behalf of Malaysia, I extend my deepest condolences to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Qatari Royal Family, and the people of the State of Qatar on the passing of His Highness the Father Amir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

During his 18 years as Amir, Sheikh Hamad transformed Qatar into a nation of global significance. Under his leadership, Qatar achieved remarkable economic progress and emerged as an influential voice in regional and international affairs. His decision in 2013 to entrust the leadership of the nation to a new generation was a rare act of statesmanship. The Father Amir was a steadfast friend of Malaysia and a respected figure across the Muslim world.

May Allah SWT bless his soul and grant strength and comfort to the Royal Family and people of Qatar in this time of grief. Al-Fatihah.
