@SBienkowski@stuartjharper Maresca didn’t like him and he’s not as good as Kane. I don’t think either of those things make him the failure you’re painting him as.
On Tuesday, I had the pleasure of attending the launch event of @Jon_Mackenzie new book - The Spectre of Pep. Today I’ve come home to see my pre-order delivered a day before official launch. Can’t wait to get stuck in. Go buy it from your outlet of choice: https://t.co/EfjlkL5WXh
@watmanAFC To clarify, I solely meant in the Prem whilst doing a quick hash of a calc of league transferability. I’d hope Tzolis UCL returns improve on what he managed at Brugge.
@watmanAFC It’s better than what Trossard put up the past two seasons. Fair enough if that’s considered awful, but I don’t think a winger that’s notably not the primary goal threat getting 8g+5a across ~2000 mins in open play seems it.
@Houlton11 Not to be an anti Garth Crookes, but fudging Mbappe position in order to justify Kane seems against the concept of a team - else Haaland should be wedged in rather than Porro and ignore positions.
Bruno G and Quinones sure fire on the bench either way.
@saundzo I reckon Santos will be asked to be more positionally disciplined as the screen in the double pivot with Tielemans trading mins with Mainoo (depending on pass/carry needs). Another #6 signing surely to come. They have a lot of matches and need depth quality.
