@RockLeeSmile what's also missed is that we didn't find a new market, nor have players gotten more time and disposable income to absorb all these games. the cake is going to get cut into thinner slices best case
AI is increasingly making me feel there is no point in trying to remain in indie gamedev, not sure there is much of a niche left that i'd like to make games for that won't get cloned in a day.
@soundblooms@timsoret Sorry for the doomer phase, but if you can vibecode a project in a few days, than the value of that project is going to approach zero due to lack of scarcity/rarity/uniqueness
@memezch 'still use 6 months, just do 10x more' -> 'and where do you suppose i find the budget and people for 10x more level designers, artists, qa'
@timsoret So a few things; - my personal skills that i enjoy and spent decades on building are now replaced leaving me with the bits i don't like. - the parts that did not get accelerated now balloon as a cost that we don't have budget for. - there is just going to be too many games.
@PAHoyeck The rule being false does not mean that 3 of the 4 cards can't act asif the rule is true, so all cards need to be checked to see if the rule is not false.
