The path belongs to Imam Hussain (RA), and it is an obligation upon all of us to follow it. If any of our political leaders walks this path, known as Hussainiyat, we must commend them. In times like today, when everyone seems to have become a Mir Sadiq or a Mir Jafar, those who tread the path of truth must be valued. Before coming here, I was looking at a tweet by Maryam Nawaz in which she remarked that the PPP is crying foul over rigging, calling it "a sign of the Day of Judgment."
Look at where Pakistan's politics stands today. I say this with full conviction: Balochistan has slipped out of your hands; the government's writ no longer exists there. There was a semblance of peace in the Pashtun areas, which we refer to as Southern Pashtunkhwa, but now there is unrest there as well. Yesterday, I was speaking to a friend from Waziristan. I told him that the elders of Waziristan, Bajaur, Mohmand, and Khyber must attend the Jirga convened by Mahmood Khan Achakzai on the 29th, 30th, and 31st. They should go and tell them that the state has now initiated the first phase of the same drama in Southern Pashtunkhwa that was orchestrated in our areas. They must be warned about the subsequent phases that will follow.
All of this is operating under a highly predetermined pattern. I assert with confidence that the Pashtun areas of Balochistan are going to face the exact same fate as the Pashtun areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It has been planned and designed in the exact same manner. Perhaps a few faces will change, with only minor differences, but the exact same conditions are being manufactured. Ultimately, the Tareens, Lounis, Achakzais, and Kakars will also be forced to leave their homeland. So much unrest and insurgency will be fueled in their areas that they will eventually become Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) within their own country. I do not know where they will be sent. They cannot be sent to Baloch areas because there is already an insurgency there. What, then, will become of our Pashtuns?
This is the current situation in Balochistan. On the other hand, what we are witnessing in Kashmir these days also stems from the fact that when you do not allow a genuine opposition to function and when you change governments through fraudulent means, spontaneous grassroots movements are born from the public. To label the 'Kashmir Joint Action Committee' as traitors and declare them Indian agents—as Atta Tarar was doing in his superficial press conference yesterday—is highly regrettable.
What scene are we witnessing in Pakistan today? If we speak of the Constitution, the rule of law, or human rights, we are accused of working on an Indian agenda. I remarked on Atta Tarar's press conference yesterday that if the recent UN Special Report, which validated our narrative regarding Imran Khan, is considered, then they should declare the UN an Indian agent as well. Similarly, based on the European Union's (EU) report on the 2024 elections, they might as well declare the entire European Union as Indian agents.
According to them, the traitor in Pakistan today is the one holding the banner of the Constitution. Look at the 40-year political career of Mahmood Khan Achakzai; he delivers a speech in Chaman, and immediately, a treason FIR is registered against him. Akhtar Mengal describes the deteriorating conditions of Balochistan at the Asma Jahangir Conference, and a treason case is filed against him as well. And in their eyes, Imran Khan is the ultimate commander-in-chief of all traitors, currently sitting in Adiala Jail. Yesterday, when I was listening to Nawaz Sharif's congratulatory statement saying, 'Our people have won,' I was thinking to myself: What a fall...
