His Excellency Abdallah Sultan Al Owais commended the Embassy of the Republic of Uganda in the UAE for its efforts in promoting bilateral economic relations. He reaffirmed SCCI's readiness to support Ugandan investors and facilitate business matchmaking meetings with the Sharjah business community during the upcoming Uganda–UAE Business Forum.

The Embassy delegation was led by His Excellency Zaake Wanume Kibedi, Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to the UAE, and included Mr. Jeffrey F. Baiga, Counsellor, and Ms. Ashah Nabbanja, First Secretary.

Uganda and Sharjah Strengthen Economic and Trade Cooperation

His Excellency Zaake Wanume Kibedi, Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to the United Arab Emirates, held a productive meeting with His Excellency Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), to explore opportunities for strengthening bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation.

During the meeting, Ambassador Kibedi presented the preliminary programme for the Uganda–UAE Business Forum, scheduled for October 2026, which will bring together senior government officials, leading business executives, and representatives of major Ugandan companies to explore new partnerships and investment opportunities.
