Part of our campaign this term will be to ask our government to recognise the Armenian Genocide. Dozens of countries do so...but not the UK government. Why not? @ANCUK_org @timloughton @BaronessCoxNews @Anoosh_C

Today we remember the life & legacy of, Raphael Lemkin, who died OTD in 1959. He was a lawyer of Polish-Jewish descent, best known for coining the word genocide & initiating the Genocide Convention. His work continues to influence our HGP @RWBAcademy. 1/2

[RWBAHolocaust @RWBAHolocaust]

As we reflect upon the contribution Lemkin made on this anniversary of his death, we are grateful to the support of descendant @LemkinJoe, who kindly joined us for one of our recent #EYP2CtW21 events & encouraged our young people. 2/2 RT @SaraSinaguglia @genocide8020 @BeaconBvga
