@adcock_brett Just ordered two pizzas. Thank you so much, Brett. There were definitely a lot of steps in between with verification codes, but eventually it did work.
@hark_labs is amazing. It helped me file a BBB complaint against @Ticketmaster who would not refund me when they admitted tech issues. They seriously need to improve their customer support . I talked to Hark and it automatically went to the BBB website, filled out the form, and within two hours I got my money back. Amazing, thank you. I tried doing this with @ChatGPT , but it failed, and so did @bot
This is wild, @Ticketmaster.
Bought a resale ticket at 7 PM for a show starting at 7 PM. Ticket shows up at 10:57 PM. Show basically over.
Asked for a refund.
Ticketmaster: “Sorry, resale tickets can take up to 24 hours.”
THEN WHY ARE YOU SELLING THEM AT 7 PM?!
You can’t sell someone a ticket to an event that’s happening NOW, deliver it when the event is over, and then hide behind a 24-hour policy.
Come on @Ticketmaster. Refund the ticket
#ftc
@Ticketmaster I bought a ticket to Bruno Mars on Friday at 7:30 PM. The show had already started, but you did not send me the ticket till 10:57 PM that night. How is it acceptable that you will not issue a refund? You did not deliver the service
Today we’re announcing Personal Agent Protocol — an open standard @Meta and @SierraPlatform are developing along with industry partners at @Genesys, @instinct, @RocketOTD, @Shopify, @stripe, and @Walmart. It will help define how personal agents interact with businesses and is open for anyone to implement. You can read more here - and if anyone is interested in joining let me know! https://t.co/Yb90VEHMnn
The next generation of commerce deserves a next-generation interface. The Shopify admin has a new look, with easier navigation across key workflows and Sidekick front and center when you need a hand.
BREAKING: The SEC just approved onchain trading of tokenized stocks, under a temporary, limited exemption.
This lets crypto platforms offer tokenized versions of stocks like Apple and Tesla with lighter rules while the SEC builds permanent regulation.
TOUR: Inside the $100 Heart CAC scan saving lives
Brad Gerstner (@altcap):
" Heart attacks are a dumb way to die. Because they are preventable."
"Half of the people who have heart attacks every year have cholesterol in the normal zone.. I'm not saying that all doctors are involved in a grand conspiracy by telling us to track our cholesterol. What I'm telling you is the evidence on the street that 800,000 people/year are dying of this, tells you that that's not enough."
If you’re a a semi/AI investor, this is a must watch interview between the two most powerful men on the planet. You don’t get to hear them speak publicly so often on AI. Jensen Huang told Trump we will make sure America wins the AI race under any circumstances!! Bullish!!
Anthropic’s head of design @joellewenstein joined me at @SPC for a wide-ranging conversation before the SF startup community. These are my favorite interviews: live, unpredictable, candid.
Key lessons from Anthropic Design:
—The Shifting Role of Product Design
At an AI frontier lab, the model gets smarter independent of the design team’s output. A designer’s job shifts from building the core engine to “opening up new portals” into the massive power that the researchers are uncovering
—Vibe Coding as the Innovation Engine
In a playbook reminiscent of Facebook hackathon culture, Anthropic’s product roadmap isn’t driven by top-down planning. Instead, the most impactful features emerge from a culture of employees constantly vibe-coding prototypes. Internal traction—seeing what teammates naturally gravitates toward—dictates what eventually ships to millions
—Artifacts and the Power of “Thin” UI
A seemingly tiny UI tweak—rendering code in a side panel instead of a chat box—fundamentally shifted users’ mental models from merely “chatting” with Claude to actively “making something” together. Design holds immense sway over business outcomes
—Humans as Creative Directors
As AI agents continue to transact and handle execution, the human role will transition to what Joel calls a “grandiose interior designer.” Users will impart their tastes, values, and constraints, letting the agentic economy figure out the rest
—The Cure for the “Slop Gap”
Companies are now shipping features at a blistering pace. To prevent users from drowning in UI and cognitive clutter, designers must either become aggressive curators of attention, or shift toward a future of “bespoke apps”
—The “Guess First” Rule for AI
As a fellow parent, I asked: When you have an omniscient superintelligence in your pocket, how do you preserve human curiosity? Joel shared a rule (borrowed from @mikeyk) for navigating this with his kids: Before asking Claude a question, you have to guess the answer first and explain your reasoning to keep the muscle of exploration and active curiosity alive
Lots of terrific insight and hard-earned wisdom from the design leader who’s overseen the greatest revenue ramp of all time.
