@sib313@sophia_edw28123 Do we have any evidence for the lack of beds in hospitals? How many “should” we have? Surely it depends on complex inter-connected factors like activity and capacity in general practice and community services - so a moving goalpost?
@sib313@sophia_edw28123 Is it just flow which is the problem? Or is there also an issue with bed stock? Do we need to increase bed capacity? Or would that be unnecessary if there were adequate community alternatives? Can ‘virtual’ wards ever replace physical bed capacity?
@wesstreeting , we have a problem - unfunded pay awards and NIC contributions are threatening the viability of primary care networks, and we’re approaching a crisis. What should be the foundation of a neighbourhood health service could be lost. Pls help
Congratulations to Caroline and Claire 👏 Collaboration between heart failure teams and primary care is key to improving patient outcomes. Fantastic to see your marvellous work recognised 🥇

Not a single NHS nurse wants to strike tomorrow. They’re desperate.
Please show NHS nurses some love. Please RT 💙
@sib313@MikeCollins_61 My understanding of the evidence is that it’s complicated - every contact with a trusted practitioner, even the superficially “transactional” ones, builds towards relational continuity which ultimately contributes to importantly improved outcomes
@pwhitakerwriter @BMA_GP @DrSimonHodes Even as I’m sat here designing a locality based urgent care hub, I know that what we’re doing is counter- evidential, but it’s a pragmatic response to the absolute crisis in GP workforce, and the only hope I can see of retaining any scrap of continuity…
@YSTeachingNHS@SchneiderElec Really proud for Selby PCN to have been part of this achievement-bringing GP, secondary care and social care together to improve care for patients, and do it all with our residents in the community where they live #thefuture#integrated neighbourhood teams
