warning: actually non-meme content...
@timgl and I jumped on some quick calls and ended up raising a $70 million series D led by Stripe.
and of course we decided to announce this with the help of our newly created irl hedgehog Max.
see reply for a link to a post on how we’re going to use the $$$, but here’s the tl;dr version:
- we'll build even more products, like messaging, support, CRM, a lot more
- all the tools + your data + Max AI = shareholder value
day 775 of infiltrating @posthog pretending to be a serious engineer and secretly just building out a full hedgehog game engine. haven't been fired yet... fools are either too stupid to see whats happening under their noses or too scared to do anything about it.
Currently in a great slack thread of every engineer @posthog falling over themselves to praise @fregante 's refined-github extension https://t.co/cBTx18ut4z
It's sooooo good.
@missajadubi@posthog That shouldn't be the case! I signed up as "ben" just now and it worked 😅 Can you send a screenshot of any error messages you get (or contact support for help) as it might be something else.
We've received feedback our website is too transparent and too easy to use. Today we're addressing your feedback by introducing "Enterprise Mode" - toggle it on via the account menu on https://t.co/76aGiWp7cS, or just click the hyperlink below:

Some advice for people applying for roles at SaaS businesses:
1) Start a free trial of the product.
2) Follow the instructions in the job ad.
That's it.
You'll instantly land yourself in the top 5% of applicants.
@alecchernicki@posthog I built a fair bit of this (all graphics credits go to @LottieCoxon )!
Not only is it a fun thing that sparks joy for devs using PostHog but it's also an internal joy for us - we work hard to make a great product whilst allowing room for some fun side things like this :D
This has been a pretty mammoth effort we've been focused on for the last couple of months (and plenty of more work before that).
Can't remember the last time I felt this proud of the product I've worked on and the people I've worked with 😍
Introducing PostHog 3000 & Notebooks 🎉
As an end of year gift to our awesome users, we've released a major overhaul of the PostHog user experience.
Our goal with this redesign is to make PostHog feel less like a SaaS app and more like a dev tool.
✅ It's got dark mode!
✅ It's got data density!
✅ It's got side panels!
✅ It's got... notebooks?
Notebooks is a new, free feature that's integral to the PostHog 3000 experience.
Think of them as an ever-present place to collect data, explore it, add context, and share with others.
Investigating a bug report? 🐞
Drag and drop session replays into a notebook.
Researching a new idea? 💡
Collect insights and add them to your proposal seamlessly, alongside survey results or cohorts.
Planning a launch? 🚀
Embed the feature flags, events, persons, or cohorts you'll need to deploy changes and track success.
Notebooks make analyzing data and sharing your findings effortless – see the video demo for more.
We have way more planned for Notebooks and PostHog 3000 in 2024, such as:
🔔 A new activity feed
📔 Notebook templates
⌨️ Way more keyboard shortcuts
💬 Comments, replies and mentions (coming very soon)
We hope you enjoy the update and, as ever, please share your feedback (it's even easier to do in PostHog 3000!).
Thank you for your support. 🙌

Social proof is an important part of developer marketing. That's why we're delighted to announce that we've won LITERALLY EVERY G2 AWARD.
Brb, going to make our designers cry by forcing them to plaster this all over the website...
Feature Preview: Notebooks for PostHog 📝
For the past few months, we've been working on a radically improved UI for PostHog.
Core to this UI is a new feature: notebooks.
In notebooks, you can:
✅ Build insights in just a few clicks
✅ Write notes using markdown
✅ Embed images and videos
✅ Import external data & context
✅ Drag and drop existing insights
✅ Embed individual session replays
✅ Share your findings with any team member
And a whole lot more.
Why notebooks? Because sometimes a dashboard isn't enough:
- Dashboards are for reporting.
- Notebooks are for investigating.
TL;DR: It's like Notion, but perfectly (and securely) integrated with your PostHog data.
Notebooks (and our new UI) will be rolling out in the next few weeks.
Keep following for updates and more feature previews.
