Happy to introduce Beth Bakewell-Smith (@bethbkwellsmith) from the Higgins lab this week.
Beth is a DPhil student, investigating how components of human serum provide protection against infection by #trypanosomes.

The final version of our paper on PfRH5-targeting antibodies from people naturally infected with malaria is now out in Cell. Pioneered by @Lewreate7, @andrewcooperajr and Josh Tan, who identified these antibodies. It was a pleasure for @brendanfarrell and I to contribute.
I'm very glad to be part of this exciting study during my PhD. The manuscript is now out on BioRxiv! Check out our latest effort to combat P. vivax with this new design of vaccine immunogen based on PvDBP!
