@CheriJacobus @HomeDepot @FedEx Recent Lowes fridge order was excellent. Arrived early, handled offloading while we scrambled to mop up some old fridge defrost. Walked old out/new in (steep driveway, narrow door, not a scratch), set it up, made sure it ran, lovely and kind guys on a hot day. Best delivery ever.

Told if delivery didn't make it 1st day it remains at back of trailer, so always last for however many days it takes to empty the refilled trailer. Installation/haul away not done. No compensation/apology. Never again.

@Kristinartz Books (gifts & passed down); a few pcs of furniture from my folks, some momentos my husband brought in, and lots of pics (four of our five blended "kids" are in their 40s now 😄)

@WalshFreedom Funny you should find the area. Grew up there 60's - 70's, still in touch. Same now as then, deeply divided between intellectual/acedemic liberals, very conservative blue collar + business classes, & big dollops of off-grid seekers & criminal hiders. Always a super mixed bag.

@priyaee My 3 kids, 14 grandkids, 35 year main bread winner career & happy marriage beg to differ. I was a school volunteer, the kids did/do activities. In our wonderful friend circle some stayed home for the school years, others not, men & women, they chose what worked best. Weird. 🤷‍♀️

@FloatRider @DecodingFoxNews OK Tried to stay neutral: this enormous expense/beauracracy is designed to solve a problem Rs fail miserably, w/ million$$, to prove exists, intending only to lower voter turnout, a party staple. Real election safety needs more cybersecurity not paperwork. But y'all know that.

2.) My parents registered me wt my middle name for school, medical and recreational activities, it's on most adult docs (cars/homes/work/SS #)

@HackingButLegal My then-3 y.o. somehow broke off a crayon tip deep in her ear. Two days of "wax melty" meds didn't do it. Doc and I held her upside down over a sink to dislodge w/ a waterpick. Took a long time. Fun for no one.

@EditorMary @mikejwhelan So sorry Michael but I agree. Its not a bad night, it's not sustainable. You two are not safe. Harsh truth - love means knowing when you are out of your deoth. I've been a family caretaker and patient, no BS. It's time for pro care. She's been sent home before, try again.

@mikejwhelan I speak as someone with a terminal illness; my wonderful husband is my caregiver. I'm pretty good right now, hospice will likely be needed in several months. I want him to have all the support we can rally. Trust me she wants you to take some help.

@mikejwhelan Straight talk w/love from a stranger... hospice isn't giving up, it's care you both need. It's best for Rebecca for you to be less frantic and more supported. Its all literally out of your control, which hurts, but bottom line true. Acceptance is not defeat it's progress. ❤️‍🩹

@JJSingleton1 The rough days are awful. They end... just not soon enough. I have noted dark mood changes dirimg chemo in support groups... a few folks were hands up. My doc not so much. But it's real real real for me. Sorry you are going thru it.

@snufflewort After 2.5 years of Zofran/Compazine/Pepcid trying to manage chemo nausea, the game changer has been Prilosec (PPI). Weird but welcome.

@JJSingleton1 Much older - 60s - and feel this. I was in great shape 5 yrs ago, my friends are retiring, traveling, golfing. I am usually OK with it, unless I'm not that day. Lots of support but real retiring won't happen, I worked until I was too sick, and it's a financial disaster. Dang it.
