@ComputerSageJAB@PpollingNumbers National democrats aren’t on the ballot though. The D senate candidate is a moderate who disagrees with a lot of what the party says. The R candidate ties himself to Trump.
@Damjanits@Gerghet9938 Term limits are a necessary part of democracy. The failure to institute them across the former Soviet bloc has been disastrous for Belarus, Russia, etc. and it feels like a fair change. Dude will be too old to run effectively next time anyways so it’s moot.
@NeoReactionaryy@TheGreatDXA Was it that effect where the left of each party affiliation was more likely to respond and re-weighting on party alone doesn't account for it?
@PinguinoLatin It is an insult. Car dealerships operate a government enforced monopoly. Car salesmen try to trick you into paying as much as you can for a car.
@thealepalombo San Diego and Los Angeles being on complete opposite sides of the spectrum despite the differences not being nearly that large is strange.
Like, SD has a better QOL but not the entire scale's worth better. Crime is only 6% better for a quick example.
@RedEaglePatriot Republicans won a senate seat in Massachusetts in 2010. Democrats probably can win one in the Deep South in 2026 if oil prices don't improve (MS or SC).
@ThierryBorgeat I'm sorry but how can San Juan, PR, be the same quality of life as New York City, Paris, or London?
Orlando is higher and that city has way worse crime rates with equally bad traffic and worse schools. And it sure can't be weather, because LA is so low and Novgorod is high.
@Ericrse37986 Nobody is voting for a Republican senate candidate because the D nominee wasn't progressive enough.
Weakness would show up in the undecideds, which in this poll is at just 4%.
@euromaximal@Akalves01 "EuroMaximalist" except you'd rather have a Russia and China aligned Brazil?
Bolsonaro isn't exactly a winner, but if he's anything like Milei, he's going to work with the West as a whole.
@_ZacharyMiller@adamrabel Nope but they definitely remember the whole "pardoned an alleged pedo" thing. Small anecdote but even a right-leaning comedy podcast I was listening to was shitting on him.
@1980Khoa@IAPolls2022 Progressives thought they won the primary because of their politics when it was just Platner's vibes. They nominated another progressive and he's a dud.
@Legal_Fil A good chunk of the R electorate looks at Paxton pardoning an alleged pedo and feels like that's worse than being a bit of a weirdo. Also, all other normal people lmao.
@peachey_keen@TestIntoLife@GrantMa25066011 If you want nuance, ask why deep red bits of states like Iowa and Wisconsin don't donate? And why is there a cutoff halfway through Kentucky/Virginia?
The answer? This is literally just a map of Baptists (and Mormons). They tithe at higher rates.
@GrantMa25066011@grok can you break this down between donations to religious organizations for religious purposes vs traditional "charity"?
Pretty sure this is just a map of tithings
