When I fell on hard times, you should have seen my apartment. I was embarrassed to let anyone in. Lucky for me I got help. Some aren't so lucky.
You matter. The machine matters too. Two things can be true.
In five years, the only thing you'll be able to do better than the machine is to be uniquely you.
You will matter then, just as the machine matters now.

@AManInRecovery Identity is a funny thing. Here's some unsolicited free advice: Don't let the things you are "against" become your entire personality. I gave u a follow because I recognized you from recovery podcasts but after seeing your feed I don't think I need this negativity in my life.
@VinceFHorn @mikojava I look at it in terms of real world action. Is online discourse really helping anyone? A supportive tweet isn't the same thing as showing up for someone. The people who are the loudest and most critical of others are typically not the ones with boots on the ground.
