The funny part is, some cabinets used an optical drive exactly *once*.
You’d load the game into DRAM, which was then on a battery backup, so hopefully you never have to use the drive again.
There’s way more to this; I’ve only scratched the surface.
It’s a great lunchtime read, go check it out:

@LotteAmour@romhackdoting I do know this much: the main thing is the use of a completely different scripting engine than the PC version, after which you need to correlate the PC script with the Vita one, and not only replace the script but take into acct control changes and such
Yesterday evening someone leaked PlaySation 5 ROM keys online. Emulation nerds are going schizo because this could mean we have PlayStation 5 emulation technology, ability to run non-PlayStation 5 games, etc.

As a native New Yorker, the hatred of transplants always confuses me. New York is nothing without those who want to be here. There's a Cuomo-supporting contingent who's hostile to them, but NY literally dies without people who move to be here.
Ynet published a testimony of a soldier about the role of the IDF in the ongoing terror in the WB: “[Settlers are] breaking watering troughs for herds, destroying homes and property, blowing up water heaters, wrecking buildings, damaging trees. And we [...] just stand aside”. >>>
