@MakaylaExner @KIN110UofR I think this is awesome, hopefully more professional sports can take this path and final have female athlete who get payed the same as men. Women athletes work and train just as hard as male athletes meaning they deserve the same respect.

@Diya29580053 @KIN110UofR or allow for the citizens to use the facilities when the football players are not. This could mean allowing citizens to rent out the field, having high school and elementary school teams using the field and allowing for other sports use the facility like soccer and flag football.

[Dayson Bird @bird_dayson]

@Diya29580053 @KIN110UofR I don't think this is a good thing for citizens. Taxes have only gone up over the years and everything is becoming more expensive. The only way for this to be a good thing is if most of the citizens either want to put there money into the Facilities 1/2

I found an article and video on NBL 2022: Isaac Humphries comes out as gay, announcement, video, tried to take his own life, first basketball player
How do you feel media, fans and players will react? how do you think this will impact others?

[Dayson Bird @bird_dayson]

@JacobKing_KIN @KIN110UofR @YouTube Yes, that is really dangerous and there is no way they would let an athlete back out to keep playing after a huge hit like that. This just shows us how far we have come in our understanding of concussions and even the new equipment that is worn to protect these athletes better.

[Dayson Bird @bird_dayson]

@jilli_p_UofR @KIN110UofR I feel like If they implement this rule with more sports they could have more female athletes who would be comfortable to play.

[Dayson Bird @bird_dayson]

@jilli_p_UofR @KIN110UofR I think this is awesome. I know there are many athletes who don't like to play in revealing clothing. I actually know someone who didn't want to play volley ball because she felt uncomfortable with the shorts she had to where for her games. 1/2

I found a website called The NHL’s new virtual board ads are a literal eyesore. Do you think this is a distraction to the game? Is there any benefits to these ads?

@sam91732613 @KIN110UofR Although hazing is still happening today it seems to be a lot better than previous years. I have never understood why teams do this. Since it has gotten better I think there is a chance for it to be stopped in the future. 2/2

[Dayson Bird @bird_dayson]

@sam91732613 @KIN110UofR Yes, I can personally say hazing is still being accepted today. I play for a junior hockey team and we have rookies who come in as new players ever year. The team makes them do embarrassing things like drinking games and wearing funny costumes. 1/2

Here is a video on the 10 Most EMBARRASSING Sports Moments Caught on Camera https://t.co/y3ehVGMtSk @YouTube Do you feel digital media could effect athletes performance? Have you or anyone you know ever been caught on camera during sports doing something embarrassing?

@KeiraDerkson @KIN110UofR I found an article also explaining this topic. https://t.co/hmTN6Mj0PC

[Dayson Bird @bird_dayson]

@KeiraDerkson @KIN110UofR Things that could help prevent fan violence would be, no more selling alcohol to fans, banning fans more often from arena if showing violence, having more security at the front doors and around during the games and if necessary making specific seating for the home and away fans.

Here is an article I found: Violence breaks out between Michigan, Michigan State players. Team Michigan state kicks and punches a Michigan football player.
What do you think the punishment should be? What act of violence do you consider this?

@Diya29580053 @KIN110UofR I do understand why the other athletes might be upset if high testosterone athletes compete but I think it is a lot more unfair to have to lower hormones in order to compete.

[Dayson Bird @bird_dayson]

@Diya29580053 @KIN110UofR I think this is really unfair for the women with high testosterone. They should not need any testing or reduction of testosterone. It is a part of their genetics. It's not like they are trying to cheat or have an advantage over the other athletes.

https://t.co/PzTX5xW1w4 This video goes over many different examples of deviance that occurred throughout professional sports. Which athlete, coach or team do you feel took it to far? Which example of deviance do you feel happens the most in your sport?
@KIN110UofR

[Dayson Bird @bird_dayson]

@BrielleKIN110 @KIN110UofR I think the coach definitely deserves the punishment being banned from coaching as well as the adult selected to play with them. They both knew their actions would have consequences. Multiple kids were put at risk for injury. This was a poor decision by both of them.

First Nations hockey team subjected to racist taunts at Quebec City tour https://t.co/bq8QostVOz via @YouTube The team experienced racist taunts by both the parents and opposing teams. Should there be any punishments or charges to the opposing parents and players?
@KIN110UofR

[Dayson Bird @bird_dayson]

@Addyson_A_Morse @KIN110UofR It is a poor decision on behalf of the IOC. The athletes have nothing to do with the war, it’s unfair they have to suffer the consequences. Those athletes work and train insanely hard for the opportunity to participate in the Olympics, it’s only fair they get to be apart of it.
