@wil_da_beast630 My oldest daughter is going to college. So far, the main thing I’ve learned is that pronouns are a really big deal there. It’s doesn’t bother her a bit, and she is laughing at how it’s bothering me. 😑

@annbauerwriter I’m 54 and in perfect health, but I’m planning for my death to make sure my children aren’t burdened by it. I won’t completely rest until it’s been planned for.
Last night I stood by the building where Jefferson wrote the Declaration. There was a bleeding homeless man panhandling and many people walking by unaware. There’s a junky convenience store across the street. But the building has been well maintained. 🇺🇸
@CartoonsHateHer I love when you post things about this. My older daughter has mild autism (diagnosed with Asperger’s when she was 4). She would absolutely starve rather than eat non-preferred foods. She is still this way at 18. The preferred foods have changed over the years.
@250YearsAgoLive I read in some book that they had to keep the windows closed for fear of spies listening in on their meeting, so perhaps he was preoccupied with just how hot it was going to be with the windows closed.
@gtmom Many teachers spend a large part of every math class on stations, with the least amount of time spent on direct instruction. They believe they are doing it right.
@xwanyex My new neighbors adopted the shittiest pit bull they could find, and it looks like it wants to kill me every time I garden on the side of my house. They never walk it, so it just goes crazy every time someone walks by. I went to the local hardware store and looked at the knives.
@Dale_Chu The superintendents entertain parents’ concerns, all the while knowing the devices aren’t going anywhere. Many districts have already spent thousands on tech-dependent curriculum. What a mess.
This is a serious problem.
Many teachers use the devices to babysit the students.
