@magic_mid_wit@MattWalshBlog Absolutely. Also, my parents were empty nesters at ~40 because I'm 20/21 years younger than my parents, so because they're further in their career and still relatively young when that happened, they're some some pretty amazing things and trips before they're even that old!
I will also add that, sadly, it looks like America might become the last bastion of people of Japanese descent who few are pure Japanese, but have their heritage there.
We adore the Japanese here and things like sushi, hibachi grills, ramen, etc, regardless if they're westernized are so amazing and lovely that I'm glad some Japanese people have shared their culture here and truly have become a part of the necessary fabric of America!
I will caveat this that America has done fine with China, Korea, etc towns (of course it'd be Asians who aren't problematic even if each specific type doesn't get along with another that often), however, each of those people follow the laws and general culture and integrate themselves (maybe with the exception of language) while holding fast to their previous culture while not trying to overtake, converting, and control the totality of local governments!
America is different though, so I don't think Japan should try the same thing. I do think even Europeans and Americans immigrate, even temporarily for work should become as fluent in Japanese as possible during their time there and learn and respect the culture they're living in/visiting!
@JomgThe@akafaceUS My wife and I have multiple bank accounts which we both have full access to everything. There's nothing wrong with multiple accounts, but is all about full access and combining your finances.
This is only because the flour we buy from the store and use has been stripped of basically all it's other nutrients by not grinding and eating the resulting flour directly like we used to which includes many nutrients that actually make bread almost complete for a human diet.
Sue Becker has done a lot of research on this and is a good place to start if you're interested why bread of the past isn't what we consume now.
@ronrule So, with slab on grade, the extension foundation would have to be plumbed already (pipes sticking out) or you're going to spend thousands of dollars to tear the existing concrete up in the places plumbing is needed...
My neighbor's mature tree lost a huge branch in a wind storm this year, so he took the while tree down to ensure his house wouldn't be damaged next. Now, the black locust in my front yard is probably the oldest in the neighborhood, but other trees have been planted in the decades after our house was built and it's still decently shady in parts of the neighborhood until the next set of planted trees grow large
@charliebadger99@sciencegirl That's just the clearing to prep the land for easier building which then you plant trees that will grow to make gorgeous neighborhoods in 30-50 years...
@smcroasters So, the mushroom coffee I've had is coffee with dried, ground mushrooms added (coffee with mushrooms is a mouthful ergo mushroom coffee), but a "coffee" made with only mushrooms would just be mushroom juice.
@DigitalCMH@smcroasters It seems that their might be different ones than what I've used which are coffee with dried mushroom powder blended in it to get the benefits of those mushrooms with coffee.
@realimbored668@smcroasters Actually, in many cases it's blending dried mushrooms and ground coffee that can be added to water to make a coffee with mushrooms in it
As a 36 year old man with a 34 year old wife and children aged 14, 2.5, 1.5, and 9 mths (14 & 2.5 are adopted from foster care) I wish God gave me kids when I was in my 20s because I could EASILY stay up all night and take a couple hour nap in the afternoon and power through with an energy drink, but now our 9 mth old refuses to sleep in the crib and so neither my wife nor I average more than 6 hours of sleep a night with 3+ of it being bad sleep with the infant in our arms on a couch and it's getting VERY hard and is straining lots of things!
I will encourage my 3 boys to marry and have kids in their 20s because the difference in energy is night an day!
