Only 2 sessions of #WSTC6 left to go, and what an amazing lot of #seabird research & #conservation presentations we've had! It's going to be very difficult to choose the winners of these 4 fabulous prizes....
Just like every other edition of the WSTC, #WSTC6 has had the invaluable help of @GrantHumphries from @blackbawks. They provide technical support in so many different things, especially our fancy online submission form and schedule at https://t.co/AYSNmbxG3q

4/4 #WSTC6#DigSesh1 Due to isolation & limited field crew we plan to deploy an automated digital monitoring system across Bonavista Bay. Due to #COVID19, we have time to build the algorithm! Please send us #teamgull pictures at colonies. Always looking for collaborators
#WSTC6#DigSesh1 The main study colony (Pigeon Island) is located close to Keels. A census, automated digital photos & audio recordings were taken to establish a baseline. BLGU, HERG, GBBG, & ARTE breed here & are subject to pressures incl. #fisheries, #plastics & #climatechange
1/4 #WSTC6#DigSesh1 Bonavista Bay (#IcebergAlley) is a unique location to study anthropogenic impacts on #seabirds. Limited monitoring occurs here and is a data gap on the eastern seaboard. We have established #BoBMMoP here to better understand the local marine ecosystem
#WSTC6#DigSesh1 need to also acknowledge the real brains behind the initiative - @AlexRissa - who really brings an amazing series of ideas to the table for great #Seabird#science in #Newfoundland
We are excited to hear more about what @bobmmop is doing (even during a pandemic) to keep this great program going. We’re also here to support however we can!
Be sure to follow them as they deliver sessions today as part of the #WSTC6
We are SUPER excited to again be helping with #WSTC6 - an awesome event that's bringing together #Seabird scientists from around the world! Thanks @Seabirders and to all the organizing team!!!
The Southern #Ocean is of critical importance to the ocean globally, but much is still unknown ... even more reason for protection #CCAMLR https://t.co/jF5j8rnn16
