@matthewwinick This means the distribution of “efficiency” is different (top heavy) relative to prior years, it doesn’t mean a team this year is better than another from a different season. Arizona having a higher AdjEM in no way implies that team is better than 2015 Kentucky, for example.
@asparks1010100@HealthcareAIGuy@SapphireVC Just imagine if Sapphire didn’t ignore bigger companies in each category to benefit their portfolio companies when they made it. Even more room for consolidation than it looks like 😅

@Dalton_Kates That's not a meaningful way to use KenPom data. It is a tool to measure intra-season performance. Would be more interesting to look at the gap between the 1st and 2nd team in any given year. For example 2025 Duke is +1.99 over Florida. 2024 UConn was +5.26 over Houston.

@JonRothstein 38 FT attempts per game from their opponents in Maui, 20 FT attempts per game since. Denying penetration from the top of the key was the biggest change, not change in venue/refs, though that did help.
@NoEscalators I think it was 47-25 rebounding margin, so not too bad actually. But agreed on post play defense. Reed reminds me of Sanogo earlier in his career. Needs to learn how to be a facilitator from the top of the key or pass out of paint with consistency.
@rikrenard@HLTHEVENT your memes are very regularly shared throughout the Inbox Health engineering slack channels. Easily the best meme game in the niche health IT integration genre 😅
@DFANewHaven To be fair, that’s probably the least problematic aspect of having two health systems creating a duopoly for healthcare services in the state.
@dvasishtha@Flexpa Getting data out of anything at scale tends to be the hard part relative to transforming it. Not confident the end to the interoperability woes are coming soon. But definitely interesting use cases, especially for researchers I think.
