@Jeff_Mold Does generating lackluster effectors inhibit pathogen clearance, making the response a bit more like a chronic immune challenge, which degrades the ability of the stem-like/memory precursor population to establish the correct conditions for recall?
@Jeff_Mold I wonder in these types of experiments, if the difficulty in forming the 2ndary memory response lies more with the blunted effector response allowing prolonged antigen exposure to the "memory precursor" population, than in a cell-intrinsic defect.

As we age, our body’s #immunesystem can’t fight pathogens as effectively & can lead to a decline in overall health. @ImmunologyAAI has created #ImmunologyExplained to help you understand these changes & the steps to take to ensure #healthyaging! Visit https://t.co/bfqXtZmbKa!

So happy to see @OveracreLab being recognized for the cause she is so passionate about !During our days as fellow postdocs, I saw how she went out of her way to support and instill confidence in women around her.
"My main piece of advice to young women scientists is: don’t take yourself out of the game—you are far more capable and talented than you realize," says Dr. Abby Overacre.
@OveracreLab was featured in this JEM Viewpoint highlighting women in science. https://t.co/W8GaJHdUTk
PSA: early career scientist, make yourself and your email address easily findable.
I’m asked to recommend some cool people for a cool opportunity and I can’t if I can’t find your email!
“I don’t like the way autocrats are running Israel, so I’m going to help elect an autocrat to run the United States” is the most shortsighted, idiot shit take on the planet.
Here's a thread that has been WAY overdue. My friend and former labmate Kim's paper in @elife! I had a front row seat to her hard work throughout a tough phd @MITBiology@kochinstitute. Let's visit this tab I've had open for ~months~ now 😅:
