Spain is in the World Cup final. 🇪🇸 But soccer isn't the only area where they dominate - Spain also has one of the longest life expectancies on Earth.
Galicia also known as the "Ireland of Spain", is home to 12% of Spain’s centenarians, with Ourense having the highest concentration of people over 100 years old.
The secret? Researchers attribute this extreme longevity to the beautiful simplicity of an active lifestyle. True health thrives where a deep sense of purpose, constant movement, and tight-knit community bonds meet clean mountain air.
That's not a coincidence - and it's not the training. It's what's been on the plate for a hundred years: a nourishing diet rich in vegetables, beans, local fish, olive oil, and a long lunch with people you love. 🍷✨
In fact, experts are continually studying Ourense to award it official Blue Zone status.
Whether it's chasing football glory or celebrating a 100th birthday, Spain has cracked the code on what it means to truly thrive.

Hidden Catalyst : The Fat Factor🧈🧈🧈
You cannot unlock the full potential of a cooked tomato without fat. Lycopene is fat-soluble, meaning it 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 dissolve in lipids to be carried into your bloodstream.
Clinical studies show that cooking tomatoes with olive oil causes a massive surge in blood lycopene levels, whereas cooking them without any fat results in almost no increase in absorption.

Would you have it raw or cooked? 🍅
Personally, both sound delightful to me this summer!

It's peak tomato season, so here's one worth knowing:
You get more out of a cooked tomato than a raw one.
Lycopene - the compound that makes them red, becomes much easier for your body to absorb once tomatoes are heated, and easier still when there's a little fat in the pan with it. (Up to 170% increase)
Which means a slow pan of tomatoes in olive oil isn't a shortcut or a compromise. It's the better version.

What You Get LESS Out Of :
- Vitamin C (Roughly 10% to 30% loss) as it is highly sensitive to heat and oxygen.
- Raw tomatoes contain live enzymes that can assist with digestion
- Higher water content, making them incredibly hydrating on a hot summer day & perfect for salads

When you think of Vietnamese 🇻🇳cuisine, vegetarian food is the last thing that comes to mind.
Here is a rare find that I discovered : Bún chả giò chay
Bún chả giò chay is a refreshing cold rice noodle salad topped with crispy spring rolls, peanuts, pickled vegetables, & a savoury plant-based dipping sauce.
The fried spring rolls (eggrolls) are filled with taro, mung bean glass noodles, wood ear mushrooms, carrots, and tofu - super nourishing & well balanced.
**In most East Asian culture, egg is not considered meat and therefore included in vegetarian cusine. So do take note of this if you are vegan!
A susbstitute to this would be to use rice paper wrappers instead - which is also a healthier alternative because it totally omitts the frying.
What are some of your favorite Vegan/Vegetarian finds that aren't your usual go to? Do share! 🍽️

First time at the 2026 Comic-Con Interactive Zone in San Diego and it did not disappoint! Seemed more fun than the ticketed entrance in my opinion. So what really goes on in a Comic Con Interactive Zone?
There were Freebies – a plate of Yakisoba noodles by Maruchan, at the Demon Slayer pop up. Come at 9am and you’re good! Any later and be prepared to wait 45mins or longer.
Iconic Slime Waterfall by Nickelodeon (Of course). The Nickelodeon booth was giving away SpongeBob Ice Cream & a Kids Choice Award Photo-Op which was nostalgic!
A PC gaming lounge sponsored by Lenovo & Marvel.
Live-Streaming studios.
Various exhibits - Star Trek, Avatar: The Last Airbender. Activities for kids, cue Mini-Golf.
Even John Cena showed up!!
People dress up as characters from movies or TV shows. In general, the crowd is friendly, with many ‘characters’ being open to take photos with you if you politely ask them.
It was nice to meet with a community that engages in similar topics of interests (basically people who watch the same TV shows). From the awkward incidences when someone wears the same outfit as you or when a group of tweens yell “Hey!” from across the street because our cosplay characters are friends in the show – it was a great experience indeed.
Was it worth it? If you are willing to withstand the mid-day summer heat, then yes absolutely. High energy, good spirits, lively people.
Left for home feeling happy 😊

@prem_inward It will be wonderful if everyone despite differences is able to joyfully disagree with each other, create constructive ideas & still live in harmony 😌 it is up to us to create that world 🌍
Zero cost - in fact it even saves money 💵
Whole grains are proven to boost satiety (makes you feel fuller) and less oil means there's more to go around! +1
@PratibhaPriyad3 Offering practical tools for youngsters is much more life-changing than some simple words of solace 🙏 words are temporary but when these other solutions you mentioned are applied, it's a strength for life 🌷 Great post
@SecKennedy@AshleyMoodyFL@RepLaurelLee@RepKatCammack “A big yes to locally grown foods & supporting local farms ! 🍊🧃Let’s just make sure it’s as good as Norway’s so they wouldn’t have to import it nextime we host a World Cup 😂
Good job on the administration! Taxpayer dollars shouldn’t be funding free soda & candy. Federal Food Assistance is for essentials, and junk food is a choice not a necessity -
Residents in five states are now restricted from using federal food assistance for soda, candy and other foods, after waivers signed by the USDA began Jan. 1. https://t.co/xkT6x7phoR
These are the states: Indiana, Utah, Idaho, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Texas, Florida, Arkansas 👏
And these states are scheduled to start enforcing restrictions later this year: SC, ND, MT, VA, OH
All I see is 🔴 driving the “Make America Healthy Again” agenda
