I inspected the ongoing works at Gulu City engineered landfill. I commend them for the efforts. Our guidance is that organic waste should not be landfilled. It should be composted elsewhere for value addition as manure, etc. The plastics and glass should be recycled.
Indonesia’s rainforests are disappearing due to unsustainable palm oil production, but millions depend on this industry.
