Die Nachricht eines russischen Jungen Mannes an Putin hat es in die westlichen Medien geschafft und geht viral:
„Wladimir Wladimirowitsch Putin, guten Tag.
Helft mir, rettet mich. Ich kann nicht schlafen. Was soll ich tun?
Ich will meine Lieder hören.
Millions of solar panels are hitting their end-of-life cycle, and the world is completely unprepared for the coming toxic avalanche.
By 2050, the International Renewable Energy Agency projects up to 78 million metric tons of solar e-waste. Where is it all going to go?
The industry boasts that solar panels are '95% recyclable'. Technically, yes - because they are made of glass, aluminum and copper. But economics always trumps physics. In Australia and the US, it costs roughly $20 to $28 to properly disassemble and recycle a single panel, but only about $4 to dump it in landfill.
Because there is no financial incentive, up to 90% of decommissioned panels go straight into the ground.
Each solar panel is an industrial 'sandwich' bound tightly by heavy polymers. To extract the microscopic amounts of valuable silver and high-purity silicon requires energy-intensive chemical and thermal baking.
When they are crushed or left to fracture in landfills, heavy metals like lead and cadmium can leach into the surrounding soil and groundwater, turning 'clean energy' into a multi-generational hazardous waste problem.
The crisis is accelerating faster than models predicted. Because solar cells degrade and lose efficiency, and because newer, cheaper panels hit the market, consumers and solar farms are ripping out functional systems at least a decade early to upgrade.
This compressed lifecycle creates an endless loop of unrecyclable industrial trash.
If you are reading this misleading message about bushfires, I can tell you it is very inaccurate. Even google explains the causes of wildfires, and climate change does not get mentioned. I have written a book non bushfires in Australia - Firestorm, Trial by Fire. Please follow my posts and I will show you the natural wonders of the world. They still exist. Share the joys of our natural world. Peter Clack
For all thinking people everywhere. Please disregard this nameless account on X. I will try to show you - by using real science and physics - that the world is still a joyous natural wonderland. Don't let these frauds spoil your love of nature. We live in and within nature. The climate digression reveals the worst of human nature. So share your feelings on my posts. Peter Clack
The warming is just 1.4C in the 250 years since the start of the Industrial Revolution. The global average is now estimated at 15C. The long term global average is 18C to 25C.
This 1.4C is not attributed to human activity at all. It is due to a range of factors, first a recovery from the little ice age (1300-1850), the coldest spell in Europe in 10,000 years. There is natural variability, all the other myriad drivers of weather and climate, like the Milankovitch cycles, periodic orbital fluctuations.
CO2 is logarithmic, and does not act along a linear trajectory. This means that as it rises, the influence rate falls away constantly.
So many people have no idea how atmospheric variables are caused, changed or how they happen.
Tony Heller (@TonyClimate) is the very first person I came across who changed my mind on climate change.
I’d be nothing without him. He believed in me from the start. I stand on the shoulders of giants like him; they walked so I could run. I don’t take it for granted.
Hello @DrHughT , let’s do it one by one, sample by sample, stone by stone.
Whenever an artificial stone recipe of mine reaches a certain stage that’s the results are comparable to the natural version I’ll send a cast sample to you (with its mold) to analyze.
The first one could be this perfectly chiseled fake limestone cube.
As you can see you can’t fit a razor blade between the stone and the cheap silicone mold from Temu. This proves my micro chiseling skills.
The recipe is public, you don’t even need my cube, you could create your own - but you won’t. So I’ll send this cute cube to you.
The “secret” recipe is:
I started from wood ash lye, also called potash, or K2CO3, by slowly dripping water through hard wood ash. Hard wood ash from your fireplace, yeah.
Then I added slaked lime, and the chemical reaction produced fine, molecular level CaCO3 particles, fine limestone floating in the liquid.
FYI: the secret chemical reaction is, and was in the ancient times as well:
K2CO3 + Ca(OH)2 = CaCO3 + 2KOH
Yummy!
Next step: I let the limestone particles settle, and poured the KOH, potassium hydroxide solution above (that also formed in the liquid, see above) into the kitchen sink as it is a very good drain cleaner indeed.
I added water and poured it into the sink several times, trying to clean the slurry from the KOH.
So yes, the cube is from almost pure limestone, CaCO3 - with some residual KOH contamination.
The KOH contamination can be reduced infinitely, I just stopped after 4 rounds. (Pro tip: put the slurry into a filter bag and put the bag into a mountain creek for an hour.)
The next step is filtering and pressing the remaining liquid from the slurry. Because it’s a wet mess at this point.
Pressure is a key factor to success! At least one thing is accurate from the universal canon: no pressure-no stone. How do I know? By trying and failing a few (dozen) times.
So I poured the white limestone slurry into a sock 🧦 and pressed and squeezed it by hand - and that was JUST enough pressure for the magic to happen 😮
It looks like nature/god is on our side, everything is working as it was designed this way.
Then I put the almost dry limestone paste into this Temu mold.
Fun fact: it still contains a lot of water which will eventually be pressed out as the crystallization progresses, so we’ll need to get rid of that water through a hole, a nub.
But there is no hole 🕳️ on this Temu mold so I poured the excess liquid from the top a few times.
Hardening time=drying time=crystallization time : 1 week.
The important lesson I learned from this experience is as follows:
I tried to understand why this sludge turned into hard stone, because, as we were told, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE, and my understanding is this: wood ash lye does two different magics in parallel for this to happen:
1. It magically contains the right kind of contamination to facilitate calcite crystal formation and
2. The incredibly high pH (remember, 2 molecules of KOH are produced from 1 molecule of K2CO3!) in the liquid boost the calcite formation even more.

My only request from you and your colleagues concerning this analysis is full, 100000% transparency.
And be honest.
I know something you clearly don’t: you have lost this battle already.
We need the data fast, not in 4 years or something.
Transparency means sharing whatever you find here on X, without scientific drama and pullbacks.
We don’t need a 947 pages scientific paper. We need the results, the data only.
BTW: I already know what you will find: a “special type of natural limestone” with some minimal potassium contamination🤣🤣🤣
Now feel free to DM me, let this scientific analysis happen!
And thank you for your offer!

Not spun. Not exaggerated. Mathematically false.
I spent the last year proving it. Last month I delivered the whole case, uncut, to a room of scientists in Halle, Germany.

The English word "lady" originally meant "loaf kneader."
It comes from the Old English word hāefdige:
hlāf = loaf.
dige = kneader of dough.
In Anglo-Saxon England, bread was baked at home, and the lady of the household was responsible for making it.
Her title reflected one of the most important duties in the home.
Interestingly, the word "lord" comes from the Old English hlāford, meaning "loaf guardian" or "keeper of the bread."
Together, the words lady and lord show that sustaining the household was a role of great responsibility and respect.

🏴🇬🇧 The man who invented the equals sign died in a debtors' prison. 🏴🇬🇧
2 small lines. You have drawn them all your life. A Welshman drew them first.
Robert Recorde was born in Tenby around 1512, a merchant's son. Oxford made him a fellow, Cambridge a doctor of medicine. But learning lived in Latin, locked away from people like his.
✍️ So he wrote his mathematics in plain English, as a friendly talk between a master and his pupil. The Ground of Artes, 1543. Arithmetic for anyone. Sailors learned from it. Shopkeepers. Merchants' clerks. Britain kept it in print for over 150 years.
The crown noticed and gave him the royal mint at Bristol. Then, in 1549, a powerful soldier came demanding the king's money for his army: Sir William Herbert. Recorde asked for the king's warrant. None came. So the mathematician refused the soldier.
⚔️ Herbert called it treason. Recorde spent 60 days under guard. He was released. The grudge was not.
The crown sent him to Ireland to run its silver mines. The mines failed and he came home unpaid. And the soldier he had refused was now the Earl of Pembroke. In 1556, Recorde accused the earl of misconduct at the crown's mints. True or not, it was a fight a scholar could not win.
⚖️ Pembroke sued him for libel. The court awarded the earl £1,000, money Recorde did not have.
And with ruin hanging over him, he wrote one last book. The Whetstone of Witte, 1557, the first English book of algebra. Page after page, he tired of writing the words "is equalle to". So he drew 2 parallel lines instead, "bicause noe 2 thynges, can be moare equalle."
🔥 The equals sign. Born on a page in 1557.
Within months, they came for him. The King's Bench prison, Southwark. A gaol for debtors. He died there in 1558. The crown itself still owed him £1,000 for Ireland. It paid the debt 12 years after his death.
🏛️ The earl got his verdict. The Welshman got every equation on Earth.

Wind and solar may succeed at a smaller, localised scale. But scaling them to power an entire modern civilisation is a fundamentally different challenge.
It was never going to work. They don't provide crucial baseload power, and traditional industrial grids were not built to accommodate their erratic delivery.
Decades of government incentives, feed-in tariffs and tax credits have heavily subsidised their rollout across wealthy Western nations. But it's an exercise resembling hopeless love. These desperate initiatives have ignored the fundamental mismatch between intermittent generation and existing grid architecture.
A complete rebuild of the global grid carries an estimated price tag of $21 trillion — a task made harder by decades of underinvestment in basic transmission infrastructure and heavy-duty storage.
Traditional power grids rely on synchronous generation — massive spinning turbines in coal, gas, nuclear or hydro plants. This physical rotating mass provides natural mechanical inertia, keeping grid frequency locked at a stable 50 or 60 Hz.
In sharp contrast, wind and solar just can't plug in. They rely on inverter-based technology, which gives zero inherent inertia. While engineers try to patch this stability gap with complex synthetic controls and giant spinning flywheels, it adds layer upon layer of extra cost and friction.
Meanwhile, the colossal scale of battery storage required to bridge multi-day lulls in wind and sunlight — the dreaded Dunkelflaute — runs into an immediate brick wall. It creates yawning bottlenecks in copper, lithium and cobalt mining, compounded by soaring production costs.
Crucially, the system can't even build itself. It just hasn't got the muscle. Mining the quartz, smelting the silicon, forging the structural steel and transporting massive turbine blades - all demands high-density, uninterrupted process heat and power. In an ironic twist, this energy is supplied almost exclusively by coal, oil and gas.
The gridlock this creates is almost farcical. Because wind and solar remain weather-dependent, grids must keep fast-ramping gas peakers or idling coal plants on standby. They are burning fuel in the background to step in the instant the wind drops or clouds roll over.
Great business plan.
