District Chairperson Ian Kyeyune says names of prospective members are being screened before being presented to the council for approval. The absence of the commission has delayed recruitment, leaving key positions vacant, including more than 29 deputy head teacher posts in Nansana Municipality. The move follows a directive by Local Government Minister Balaam Barugahara requiring all districts to establish their service commissions by August 30, 2026.
