we did not have our best last 12 months ever, which is mostly my fault, but we are about to have our best 12 months to date. the team is doing amazing work and i think you’ll be very happy with what they’ve got cooking for you.
i am happy about this for many reasons, but mostly because i care about our users winning. AI has to be about giving lots of people more freedom, agency, and wealth. we want to do the right thing, but we do not want to scare people into doing our thing.
Our administration owes a debt of gratitude to Nick Shirley for exposing one of the most egregious cases of fraud this country has ever seen.
If the media was worth their salt, they would take notes from Nick and other citizen journalists who care about investigating stories that affect the American people instead of trying to silence them.
Unpopular opinion? I absolutely hate this non-negotiable exit interview every single time I disengage FSD.
Can’t they see, if I disengage in a parking lot, it’s probably cause I’m parking?
To protest, I’ve started hitting critical every time. Stop giving me this pls 🙏
The International Space Station orbited over Los Angeles on July 4th as America marked 250 years of independence with a burst of fireworks lighting up the city below — a celebration so bright it reached all the way to space!
july 5, 2006—twenty years ago today—i started a two-year full-time mission for the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints.
this milestone anniversary is personally significant as that experience transformed and shaped my life.
i returned from rosario, argentina to orange county, ca on july 4th, 2008, with:
• deep love for argentina
• deep spanish fluency
• deep faith in christ and knowledge of his gospel
• deep work ethic
• deep faith in taking action
and so much more
i’ll always be grateful for everyone who made that mission possible/successful
it’s now july 5th—the day after independence was declared 250 years ago. like in 1776, in 2026, the pursuit of happiness and freedom aren’t over. america wasn’t won in a day. the very declaration describes a dynamic struggle, constantly in flux, between us (sovereign citizens, divine creations of immutable worth) and the government which, at one point, the citizens set in motion to protect freedoms and prevent abuse. this struggle ought to continue if we are to keep and hopefully increase our freedoms.
america is the place for the creators, makers, workers—people striving for greater economic opportunities. it’s the place for freedom of thought, belief, speech, association, and movement.
i’m so grateful for the ideals of the united states constitution and our system of public redress; for the entrepreneurs and creators who bring amazing goods and services to market; for all military and law enforcement and judicial officers who honorably enforce and apply the laws; for my parents who taught me to love america; for my wife and children who are my every breath and thought.
god bless the usa
america 250
