HR can explain a health plan. It can't run the math on what it costs your household.
Dual-income families can have 30-40 valid ways to split coverage. We calculate all of them.

Thank you to Carrie Ghose and @columbusbiz1st for covering our raise.
We're building healthcare that's simple, puts you in control, and makes economic sense right here in Columbus.
My husband works at Google. I work at First Round. Both companies have epic healthcare plans, which means every year, we fall into the fortunate situation where we need to choose which plan to be on.
@realPriyangShah saw this was the case for the 30M dual-income families in the US, and wanted to make this experience a much better one. He thought: how can we make it easier for households to choose their plan, and once they do, what if the employer who doesn’t end up being chosen also chips in for out-of-pocket expenses, making it so employees really do get the best of both worlds?
Enter @HealiaHealth. We @firstround were lucky to partner with Priyang (an incredibly special, relentless, and brilliant founder) on his Seed round in 2024, and since then, he’s scaled the business to hundreds of customers and over 10K people, saving employers millions and families tens of thousands of $s per year.
We raised $18M, including a $14M Series A led by 111° West Capital, with @ycombinator, @firstround, @pioneer_fund, @GoAheadVC & @NCV_CLE.
3M+ households have two employer health plans and get overcharged for it. We built the fix.

@theo Narrow perspective. Lots of codebases go astray when the front end drives, but there are multiple views of the same data. In insurance, you have customers, billing, underwriting, etc that all need the same thing in different ways. If one front end drives, you’re out of luck.
