Mental Health for everyone 💙
During orientation week, TRIUMPH team visited 3 universities in Jinja: @MakJinja , @MUBSJinja & Kampala University Jinja! 🧠✨
We engaged hundreds of students on mental health awareness, disability inclusion & practical self-care.
A key focus of our presentation today: data inclusion.
Standard health reporting often misses disability metrics.
We are discussing practical ways to capture disability-disaggregated data in Jinja City health facilities.

Effective health delivery relies on coordination! 💫
We appreciate the opportunity to engage city health leaders, local officials, and civil society partners to strengthen inclusive health services across Jinja. 🤝
Today we are sharing key outcomes from our peer-led model.
By taking HIV, TB, and Malaria education and testing directly into communities, we are ensuring youth with disabilities are included in regional health systems. ♿🏥

Youth are not just beneficiaries; they are leaders! 📣 At TRIUMPH, we empower YPLHIV and youth with disabilities to lead the HIV response. Their lived experience is the best guide for inclusive programming. 🗣️♿️ #YouthVoices#LeadersSummit26
~Mental health is health, and for people with disabilities and the wider communities, it must be protected, respected, and treated as essential.
~Too often,mental health needs are delayed,dismissed,and
misunderstood
~But when a person lives with disability, the challenges they face such as social stigma, discrimination, inaccessible services,
~The barriers to employment,
education, and isolation can directly affect their mental well-being.
~Mental health support should not be an “extra.” It is a human right.
There is no health with out mental health.
