“Kemigisa had to find a house (palace) where to bring up this young family. She chose Kampala. She was never helped to raise money to pay rent, feed the king and his siblings, take care of their medical bills, and pay for their education. Museveni offered help but it was never sufficient. Most (if not all) Batooro ignored the plight of the young family.
In fact, it is Sudhir Ruparelia and President Paul Kagame of Rwanda (both of whom grew up in Toro) who offered a helping hand to educate the king and his sister. It is a mark of her excellent social networking skills that Kemigisa mobilised people like former Libyan ruler, Maummar Gadhafi, to support the kingdom. And even in this, many Batooro elites gossiped in criticism of her efforts. In fact after Katuramu, the kingdom would have collapsed had Kemigisa not stepped onto the plate.”

Gratitude to HRH
The Queen Mother.
Thank you Andrew for appreciating this lady for her work towards the kingdom and her efforts.
The Phaneroo people landed on my Tweet castigating the other lady who claimed their pastor healed an HIV/AIDS patient and now my mentions are blowing up with Bible verses.
People need to appreciate that there is a fundamental risk of tweeting such stuff. In the 90s when the HIV/AIDS scourge was ravaging the population, one of the problems Ministry of Health fought against was Pastors & traditional healers who constantly claimed they cured the disease.
Many people lost their lives because they believed they’d been cured by their pastors and therefore they went off medication. To this day, we lose people simply because they replace taking meds with prayer and fasting.
It’s very dangerous to create the impression that your pastor cured a patient because what you’re communicating to other patients is that they don’t need to take medication, they just need to locate your pastor.
Therein lies the problem.
If you’re an HIV/AIDS patient, it’s okay to have your pastor lay hands on you but please, do not under any circumstances stop taking medication.
As of now, there is no known cure for HIV/AIDS. However, the virus can be fully managed through medication, lifestyle change & discipline. Short of that, you’re at risk of the disease spreading through the body & wiping out immunity hence leading to death.
Phaneroo people & their pastor are going to undo decades of hardwork put in by many people to teach the population about how to manage HIV/AIDS.
Believe in your God, worship him, hold hands and sing Kumbaya, but please do not spread falsehoods about HIV/AIDs. It is still a dangerous disease & must be treated as such.

I witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding and operational licence agreement between the Uganda Communications Commission and Starlink, marking an important step towards the commencement of their operations in Uganda.
Our interest is security, revenue assurance, and proper accountability within the telecommunications sector so that we know who is operating and who the customers are. I am pleased that Starlink has agreed to comply with Uganda’s laws and regulatory requirements as it prepares to begin service delivery in the country. I wish them good luck.
