@GameOverThirty I lived through GE restructuring...painful, but we are a much, much better company now. Incredible comeback really. I was thinking of GE when the XBOX spinoff was floated. Would require them to face their own books, and be forced to get healthy. It'd look much different than now.
@GameOverThirty Who is the buyer of these studios? There is no viable buyer in the market. They'd have to go independent, and either be given a truly sweetheart deal by MSFT, or take on debt. These studios couldn't pencil out before...now with a big debt burden? I dont see it.
@Andy_VGC I think mainly its MSFT is pivoting to each studio needing to pencil out...and no longer being a 'patron of the arts' ...which leaves these studios in a huge lurch because they were bought solely to provide some cred to the Gamepass library.
@RealAirPower1 Napkin to frontline in two years? Anduril bought the Fury airframe from Blue Force Technologies who had been working it since 2019. Also, it is not even a little bit stealth, in any capacity.
It's still useful kit, and Anduril is impressive - but you mischaracterize things.
@BenjiSales@PaulTassi Every studio is not its own P&L. They roll up under Sony. Other areas will have to carry the load. I imagine there will be layoffs; but studios are not all individually living hand to mouth.
@AlexHollings52 The funding situation is in such fits and starts that it is difficult to even keep teams busy working this. USG not prioritizing properly.
@JorgeGuardia_ Clone stamping on the exhaust edges and deck are clearly seen with some tweaks to brightness and contrast. They are obscuring things (good!)
@duane2020a@SteveAustinWI@Doranimated A rail line is a static target that is incredibly easily sabotaged and can move far less than tankers by a factor of 20-30x.
@buccocapital@Steve_Yegge Never been a better time to be making jet engines & natural gas turbines. Perhaps the largest 'atom moat' that exists today, bar chip fabrication.
