Writer and Editor. Always learning. You don’t need to have everything figured out. Your voice is your power. Own it. #momenttomoment. RTs ≠ endorsement etc.
Uncommon advice: If you don't know what to pursue in life right now. Pursue yourself. Pursue becoming the healthiest, happiest, most healed, most present, most confident version of yourself. Then the right path will reveal itself.
even if you have been disappointed before, let yourself want things again. your hope is not embarrassing. your desire is not naive. your heart is allowed to stay open after being tested.
This paragraph by Haruki Murakami hits very hard:
“Once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.”
One idea that has revolutionized my thinking is this: you are allowed to not want things.
You can look at everything society tells you that you need to have and just be like, “Nope. I will not be participating.”
There is something beautiful about being able to afford the things you once considered luxuries. The perfume, the outfit, the good food…..the little extras that make life sweeter.
I’ve started appreciating days where nothing dramatic happens. no bad news, no stressful interactions, no overwhelming thoughts. just a normal, quiet day where everything is calm. those are the days that actually feel like rest.
Stop glorifying urgency. Not every dream needs to be chased in panic. Some of what is meant for you will require patience, rhythm, and a nervous system that finally feels safe enough to receive it.
@SakPaseG Joy is so simple
Happiness is more complicated because it solely depends on our perspective of what’s happening to and around us.
We can tap into joy even when the circumstances we’re in don’t make sense.
as a woman one of your biggest purposes is to teach your body how to relax in copious amounts. sleep, nap, take the longest baths with lotuses and myrrh, waste time, spend hours listening to music or watching the stars, or both. massage every muscle until it’s melted like butter, slowly, and serenely. teach your body that it’s enough to just exist, in the mellowness of your essence, drinking it in, bathing in it, revelling in it. give yourself unhurried time to spend with the amber sun, eating mangoes, being fully present with the juicy, honeyed, golden flesh. read long thick books with no intention of learning, just for the intricate, vivid details described. drink it all in, the fairytales, the romances, the exact shades of the sky. this is not laziness, because even when we rest, we’re still being rushed by a million things on our mind, the ancestral, programmed guilt disturbing us every second, trying to lure us away from the vibration of paradise, the vibration of the garden of eden. teach your body how to resist this, to unlearn the implanted guilt, to unclench every muscle, every cell, and to rebel with even more wasted time, even more rest, even more frivolous luxury, until rest feels like a lush meadow where time isn’t real, instead of something that eats away at you every time you try to have a moment to your angelic, divine self.
read more books. read to escape reality. read to understand reality. read to challenge what you believe. read to think better. read to write better. read to argue better. read to know yourself. read to build something. a single book can completely rewire your brain.
A lots of things are enjoyable when you don’t have someone else’s opinions influencing you.
This is why ppl need to be comfortable being solo. You may never cross paths with likeminded people if you only wait for the ones you already know to join you.
Nobody tells you how hard it is to rewire your brain so you can allow amazing things to happen to you after so much trauma or hurt. Blessings exist, good people exist, a softer life exists. Let it happen.
