Ordered three boxes of cat litter from Amazon. First two were 24” monitors instead.
Sent a message to Amazon and they sent two more with apologies. One has arrived... and it’s another monitor.
Will the other two yet to be delivered boxes also be monitors? Time will tell...
@andrewculver Flight to last year's Laracon in Nashville, where the pilot came on and said "we're going to try and cut around some storms and uhh, we'll see how it goes" (the last thing they said before we landed)
@tessak22@chrislema It was a little unstable at first but has actually been quite solid for the last couple years. We do have completely unobstructed views of the sky which probably helps, and in one of the early pilot areas with (I assume) good coverage.
@tessak22@chrislema Better than the 6mb download we had when we first moved out here, luckily Starlink is tiding us over before fibre gets put in eventually!
@aarondfrancis@adamwathan Also went to SF for Stripe Sessions in April and other than one person screaming at the sky during an early morning run down to the bayfront, all good. We did stay fairly close to the hotel and venue, though. Enjoy the trip and weather!
I'm hosting a free online workshop, "The Art of Web Defense," this Thursday at 11 a.m. ET.
This is _wholly_ focused on practical security considerations and is built around the real-world attacks that I've helped stop.

@chrisgarrett@lifterlms@AWeber I don't get much hassle at all (basically none) from the 20k users of the one free plugin, and most of the hassle has actually been good ideas for improvement. Requests can always be ignored but understood that it could be frustrating/demotivating!
@JustinFerriman I used to not send reminders but started after interviewing someone at ChurnBuster who said they did. They then stopped sending reminders lol. I think it's still the way to go. I did get a few angry customers before and if they're still using the plugin I don't think it's issue.
@KatieKeithBarn2 I just say that I sell a couple products online, then say it's a digital product so I don't need to worry about shipping etc, then get more specific about it if they ask (ie. an add-on for websites to help promote their events, or "have you heard of WP?")
@KatieKeithBarn2@BobWP Speaking of, I noticed https://t.co/JNUVr3FNed shows an invalid SSL certificate and as being offline for the last few days, forgot to let you know!
Also didn't realize you lived in Mallorca, my wife and I are in Málaga ~2 months each year :)
@JustinFerriman@innerwebs@GiveWP Looks like it's not there on mine, they probably realized it was a mess :) Unless I can specify to load The Events Calendar alongside it, or a Woo extension can specify WooCommerce needs to be there, how can it ever work?
@photomatt@dancameron Fyi, Sprout Invoices has a pro version which you can’t necessarily track installations for.
And even if it only had 2k installations, that’s 2k people benefiting from it.
2k people is about the number of people who typically attend WCUS. If that’s low, should they not bother?
@JustinFerriman I've only encountered this a couple times with spanish so far, vs. almost daily with french (even though I'd been speaking french since I was little). Appreciate the story and reminder to not give up especially when things are finally starting to click a bit :)
