I built a chonkier, Apple TV-inspired action menu that feels responsive and substantial!
Notes:
– The highlighted row gets magnified and moves slightly with touch
– Spring-loads on long-press, or immediately if you drag
– Stretches and rubberbands if you pull past the bottom
It’s done. I’ve collected my favorite NES box arts (each with full manuals and inserts) and mounted them in my games room. They either have special meaning to me or I have always loved the cover. A thread explaining each choice. 1/13
When stars die, most leave behind a beautiful piece of art called a planetary nebula. They last a few thousand years and then fade. Our sun will likely sign off with its own art piece in 5 billion years.
These are planetary nebulae captured by Hubble.
I have enough.
I am enough.
I am satisfied.
I don't have to play the game.
I am not in a race.
I will support others growth.
I can accept things I can't change.
I can be brave to change the little I can.
I can be wise to know the difference.
If you're new to photography, here's your chance to give Halide a try for free! If you're feeling a bit overwhelmed, there's a photography course in the app created by @halidecamera team.
My DMs are open for n00bs if you're feeling intimidated.
We can help each other.
Fun with SwiftUI.
Types I had to invent to make this:
ExpansionView
ExpansionLink
TransitionWrapper
ExpansionNamespaceReader
(and many more…)
But now it’s a pattern, and the transition between two screens is *almost* as easy as with NavigationView and NavigationLink.
Is there a more productive way to spend my morning than digging out my old high school physics equations to build a SwiftUI rain drop simulator so that the droplets can accurately bounce off the clock hands? Almost Certainly.
Is there a more fun way to spend my morning? Nope! 😁
My team was full of amazing, talented, kind android engineers who welcomed me and made me a better engineer, some of whom are also looking for their next role as well! Check them out too @Flubarb@wsferguson @1taylorsandusky @yoali_sb 💙
It's been an unbelievable journey. We didn't just hear your support, we felt it. None of this would have been possible without you.
Thank you for everything.
Watching the Phillies in the app I used to work on while watching the sun set over the rainbow. I love working on products I want to use and millions of other people do, too.
