@ReelPressence@Tower_Overwatch@ThoughtfulSaint I don't, it's the default case. 100 billion births have been that way. If there's an exception, which happens, some documentation would be nice.
I answered, now back to you. Why are you so gung-ho about it?
@ReelPressence@Tower_Overwatch@ThoughtfulSaint Can't help but notice the absence of scripture citations. And no your inferences don't count as scripture.
Curious why you're so gung-ho on this particular topic? It's not even a Dogma
@ReelPressence@Tower_Overwatch@ThoughtfulSaint Maybe, but that goes a half-step past scripture
What we know is He was conceived "by the power of the Holy Ghost", that "The Holy Ghost shall come upon [her], and the power of the Highest shall overshadow [her]"
None of that explicitly states conceived by the Holy Spirit.
@ReelPressence@Tower_Overwatch@ThoughtfulSaint Mormons have no opinion on Mary's hymen because we're not pervs.
Mary was a precious and chosen vessel and discussing her or any other daughter of God's reproductive system is vulgar and profane.
@realDrTT@PopePiusXIStan Yes he is, he's a good dude. He's former LDS, understands our theology well, and provides valuable pushback when latter-day saints get strawman-y.
@ShadowlandBlog@PeacemakingSt@ClarkG_Gilbert Yeah, I mean there's a reason it's called the lesser law.
It's definitely easier to off a pair of pidgeons than to humble yourself and repent.
@ShadowlandBlog@PeacemakingSt@ClarkG_Gilbert Israelites had to be ritually clean before entering the Temple, there were specific washing and purification rituals.
This is, of course, symbolic of the spiritual cleanliness we need to approach God.
Isaiah 1:10-20 is calling out temple worshipers w/o personal righteousness
I do have a question (an honest one) and for the sake of conversation and because it's sometimes on my mind, would like your take.
Why do we need a temple recommend interview at all?
Why does one need to be "worthy" to enter the temple - did the Israelites have to be "worthy" to enter theirs?
I have some thoughts but am curious what another's take might be. It's something I have sort of mixed feelings about.
@EricCMeadows@izatt_julie We got the run-around from facilities on this too. Our stake ended up installing permanent shelves in all the chapels and setting the cameras on top.
