UNA Tanzania is chairing strategic meeting with the CSOs task force to develop recommendations on the provision of 10% local councils loans to youth, women and PWDs through banking systems. Looking at methods which banking systems can be made conducive to the targeted group.

In addition, they invested in transportation by acquiring motorcycle vehicles to transport their produce and hired other 4 youths to assist in their activities. This has allowed them to increase their outreach, generate more income, and contribute to sustainable development.

Thanks to this initiative, the youth group has gained access to loans from government schemes that allowed them to expand their business significantly. They have boosted their avocado seedling production from 3,000 to an impressive 15,000 seedlings.

Its day 2 of the annual #AgroforestrySymposium & we kick started the day with a tree planting session, in the Mara Region in Musoma where 1500 fruit, medicinal, nitrogen-fixing, timber, and other multipurpose trees were planted to promote #biodiversity through #agroforestry!
