Radical moderate. Care about all people. Dislike counterproductive and potentially dangerous idiocy parading as ideological purity. Avid cost/benefit analyst.
@CitiesGreat@WestSideTom@amyjharris@ProjectRenewal And "homeless activists" grew entirely new careers out of it, deflecting from the abhorrent conditions and lack of oversight by claiming anyone asking questions was anti-homeless or racist.
https://t.co/pJfWhsrz3z The idiocy and failure of solutions for our growing unhoused is obviously a result of self-dealing and egos of activists, but what better way to deflect scrutiny than crying racism?
@AaronNickey@JuliaManhattan ^^ Allegedly said something racist. I would bet money this poor hostess made zero racial slurs. She was doing her minimum wage job which requires asking for vaccine passports. It's law, but some people consider being expected to comply with laws racist. We're allowing it.
@bitcoin_whales@DrewHLive They're not against COVID passports as a matter of civil rights. They just don't want to follow any rules, and asking them to is an excuse to claim racism. They don't care if you're asked for your passport.
@JuliaManhattan The hostess should have disregarded her duties to demonstrate beyond doubt that she is not only anti-racist, but also has no exoectations of compliance with law of black patrons. We all know there's zero chance she used a racial slur. Her life is just a casualty to BLM.
@savetheuws@NYPD20Pct @NYPDShea As if somehow we're better people by ignoring this and penalizing store owners than actually getting Karl help. Sure, whatever helps you feel ok about yourself.
@BrianLehrer@bradlander@WNYC I'd like to understand what Brad means in re to jails by "the narrative on safety," which sounded like the extremist claim that there is merely a "perception" of increased violent crime. It's data. Also, w/far fewer jail cells, any comment on crime by repeat/released offenders?
@MayorsRace2021 @sunrisemvmtnyc Other races involve a far more political subset of voters. Fewer people knew how they'd vote for DA and Comptroller or even city council than for mayor due to media, and that comes out talking to people. The mayoral win represents the people, the other wins represent activists.
@Howard_Lovy Now antisemitism has a moral veil in the far left (though not all of the far left), and in some cases that veil includes Jews desperate to prove themselves and blinded to the danger.
@mayawiley Which rights are being violated? Does any unhoused person have a right to a free midtown Manhattan hotel room? Will that help NYC recover? Vaccines are available & have been pushed for months. We're all scared of the escalating violent crime as a result of disempowering police.
@RezaC1 What are they protesting? Is there a right to a free hotel room in midtown Manhattan now? That would seem counterproductive to a sustainable recovery of the city for the millions who live and rely on work here.
@enrique_pause @mayawiley I'm most curious as to this. When a moderate does win, will the radicals or the pols they back be able to acknowledge that, actually, most people want policing and do not believe in CRT?
@fuelgrannie Our elected & hopeful elected officials are spending countless hours & dollars to show up at protests & clamor publicly for equity & defunding NYPD, while people of all races, but mainly POC, are falling to increasing violent crime, at the hands of releases criminals (not NYPD).
@Maria4Dist6@ConcernedSide So what's the UWS body count today? Are people becoming desensitized to the now multiple reports daily? Why is it those not in office discussing this? Yet they do have time to attend protests?
