@JJ_McCullough@WOMInstruction You're wrong here. The answer is useless but its firmly in the category of clumsy deflection as opposed to genuine confusion.
@zestular@nullpointered@MorlockP If the person being imagined were a subsistence farmer then they would not have any time whatsoever to waste on video games. The imaginary individual in the original post is someone with the good fortune of a large amount of surplus time.
Note to everyone about to book a flight with @FlairAirlines , they now have a new sneaky trick to make you pay extra for seat assignment, or alternatively (and much less conveniently), call in, wait on hold for an hour and then have them waive the usual counter check in fee. 1/2
@airlines_800 actually Robert told me it was possible *if* i paid the 42$, so then i suggested that he check me in and just have @FlairAirlines pay that 42$ since it is their mistake, then he changed his story to "it's not possible to check in at all because our system is down"
4 years of flying this airline I thought I knew all their BS but now they're just taking the mask off and forcing you to pay *after* a ticket purchase (or face hours of inconvenience)
Here are the shots of online check in process. No seats selected (also all seats marked as 0$) and no extras added at all, yet to get the boarding pass I have to pay for assigned seats.
@barnyskinner @Max12Morin @climatecrumble@tagaq@CXCecilio Fascinating stuff, thank you. Of course, making it a glib punchline about racism is dumb as hell, but I guess that's the twitter way.
@barnyskinner @Max12Morin @climatecrumble@tagaq@CXCecilio Assuming you have some detailed knowledge of this history, i'm curious for more detail. Were the sherpas superior climbers but lacking in some critical equipment/technology? Were they experts at only a certain type of climbing that precluded final summit?
@seeDBwrite@Aikar@DrCanuckMD I'm not proposing any kind of system. Do you think science is a "system"? Did you think I was proposing that @Aikar be placed in a position to make decisions about medical research?
@seeDBwrite@Aikar@DrCanuckMD What you're alluding to is "credentialism" and it's pretty much the polar opposite of science. The latter is valuable precisely because the design of a study is open to criticism by absolutely any thinking person who can find a flaw in it.
@EclecticRadical@STLMasking Hi Chris, if you ever lie awake at night going over some disagreements you've had and thinking, 'maybe I'm actually really dumb and simply can't understand this issue', well i'm here to let you know, officially, that is the correct analysis.
@BettyDavisEyess@1goodtern That's super fascinating Betty. Who knows, but based on the information you've provided I'm guessing that he definitely has covid induced dementia... Yup, that's my diagnosis for sure!
