@mrguineyhistory If I mark a class set of essays of qns and it's obvious they've just not understood the demands or structure of the essay, I'll do a sample one. It's maybe only 1-2 a year now max as I've built up a bank of answers, including pupils answers.

@MisterFirth In the first 2 schools I taught in, they wanted to know my first name to work out if I was a Catholic or a Protestant 🙄 The joys of living in Northern Ireland. I've no issue with pupils knowing my name now... they've just not asked 🤷‍♀️

I feel so lucky to have been on holiday this summer to Mallorca. Two weeks relaxing, reading and spending time with my family was simply amazing. Back to school on Friday... summer has flown by as always, but I'm definitely feeling recharged ☀️

@MrsVRE I can totally relate. Unless we go away on holiday, my husband only takes days off for golf matches 🙄 I can not remember onesl single day, ever, he has been off with kids while I work. My eldest of 3 is 11 :-/ It's exhausting x
