Dear @Eminem ,
It would be so clutch if you dropped a single right now called “Conclave”. I know you must have at least 45 words on deck that rhyme with Vatican. And we all want to see where you’d go with “Cardinal Pizzaballa”. Cmon, Slim. The world needs this.
The DEA regrets to announce the passing of Detective Second Grade John James Edgar. John passed away at age 52 on April 19, 2025, and his death will be pending 9/11 WTC status.
John James Edgar was born and raised in Hoboken, New Jersey, and was appointed to the NYPD on April 15, 1997. His first assignment was PSA 3. Later assignments included Brooklyn North Gang Unit and Brooklyn North Narcotics, before he eventually landed at his current command, the NYPD/FBI Joint Organized Crime Task Force. Edgar was promoted to Detective on April 30, 2008, and he earned second grade on June 24, 2016.
John often expressed how extremely proud he was of his family’s roots in policing and public service, which dates back approximately 200 years. Among his immediate family members in law enforcement were his late father, his grandfathers, and several uncles and cousins. Among the Departments in which his family served were the NYPD, the Hoboken Police Department, the Hoboken Fire Department and the New Jersey State Troopers. Even John’s Detective shield number of #7149 has been part of his family’s long civil service tradition.
A huge fan of the New York Mets and the Dallas Cowboys, watching sports with his friends and family was a staple of John’s weekly plans.
John deeply loved his family and his profession, and his family greatly appreciates the love, care, and respect that his NYPD brothers and sisters displayed in his final days and hours. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The DEA will continue to stand in support of his loved ones.
@OptimumHelp Stop it. We pay SO MUCH money for your service... you seriously can't provide CHANNEL 11??? RIN TIN TIN AND F TROOP USED TO BE ON 11. You aren't fooling anyone. No one is using FUBU. FIGURE. YOUR. SHIT. OUT.
@noam_dworman@JamesSurowiecki ALSO.. for awhile I was using an ebike to commute downtown. It was awesome... but now they won't let it in my building becauwe of all the fires... it's not like I'm not trying.
@noam_dworman@JamesSurowiecki The ass end of staten island.. the edges of the bronx.. the rockaways are losing their direct train to the city until memorial day. You're adding 40 min to peoples' commutes who are in transit deserts (a mile or more from a subway)
@noam_dworman@JamesSurowiecki Govt worker.Midtown isn't a bad commute. Downtown is.I wouldn't have had a problem with the tax but they put the cart before the horse. Get mentally ill people and people with long criminal records out of the subway. Drivers with defaced plates need to be HEAVILY fined. Then tax.
