Indie hacker | Quit Amazon Nov ’25 → $150k AI lead gen for diesel mechanics by June ‘26 | Building the “Uber” app for Diesel Mechanics that they didn’t ask for
shoutout to @btheriot for sharing how you built a 6-figure business from a video & sessions with @boringmarketer inside https://t.co/6AZbU3YLCo community
If big corporations go back to WFH as the norm, I’d go back.
Especially if it was with a forward thinking company that allows me to use agents and work remote.
But as far as the whole RTO/RTT movement….hard pass.
For me…personally.
To each their own.
People act like they didn’t know about how dire the situation was and how urgent it was for us to voice these strong slow down opinions back when AI 2027 was published on 4/3/2025 for all to read and share.
Now that AI has exponentially improved and folks can suddenly see the negative possibilities, they of course attack people working at frontier companies instead of taking direct personal accountability.
Seems rather disingenuous to me.
@jillgun I would burn my equity to the ground in a heartbeat for a 1% higher chance we make it out of this situation alive. I expect a great many of my colleagues across the industry would as well.
I promise you, we are actually just fucking scared, it's not galaxy brained marketing.
Not that I’m advocating for Grok Bot.
But the fact is..
this is a great workflow and is how agents should be managed.
The end result being measurable metrics that are tracked to show improvement of output.
My Grok Bots have 1:1 meetings now.
Every week my Chief of Staff interviews each Bot on the team.
→ What did you do
→ What went wrong
→ What do you need
→ What should change
Then it fixes what it can and brings the rest to me.
Pretty much how I’d run a real team.
@ashen_one To those folks I say…you are cool for using AI, you are smart for using AI, and you are skilled for using AI, and that person is just mad that they can’t do what you do 💪🏽🙂↕️.
OpenAi’s internal model Bel is ahead of AI’s countdown to ASI 2027 projection
currently it looks to be beating the projection, with an estimate of 80hrs
this is an estimate placed for Bel after solving the Navier-Stokes problem
I have gotten _so_ many questions on the exploding man and how to create that with gpt-6 astra
here is a quick 3 minute guide on how to create your own exploding thing...using the example of a leica m11
With a Codex Pro and SuperGrok Heavy subscription I think I’ve figured out how to create a content factory. 🎥 🏭
Just think about it. All you need is ChatGPT desktop app, GrokBuild CLI, Palmier Pro or Davinci Resolve and an external SSD for storage.
Then you just need to understand model throttling and assignment.
As I write this I’ve thought about the Gemini subscription that I could use to view my content and compare it to trending content within that same space and provide feedback to Astra who watches my metrics.
The only question is how long would the whole loop take to make one 5 minute video? 🤔
It’s rather interesting watching these frontier companies chase their tail.
@OpenAI and @AnthropicAI employees are in the forefront this week banging their fists on the table for us to ……slow down.
Meanwhile @GoogleDeepMind is all systems go for RSI which assures we will have anything but a slow down.
So which one is it?
AI is going to kill us all or let’s just keep going until the frontier company to the left of me goes just a little bit too far?
Rumors are spreading like a wildfire that Google DeepMind has reached RSI.
Lyra is part of the reliable and huge leaker community.
But Id say its more than just rumors:
Google says Demis Hassabis will focus his “full attention” on shaping AGI. Reuters reports in August Sergey Brin is directing resources toward RSI, while DeepMind’s strategy chief calls it key to the AI investment thesis.
I think it’s pretty clear what’s happening with Astra.
One of the biggest issues is PRO x20 users: the heaviest users, the ones pushing the service the hardest… and also the ones paying the most.
So how do you slow that usage down?
Pause new PRO x20 sign-ups.
Make Astra burn through usage limits much faster — roughly 70% faster.
The result is pretty simple:
You shut the door on new heavy users, while making existing ones think twice before using Astra.
Because if you actually need Astra for serious work, you can burn through your quota in just a few hours.
And then what?
You can’t even buy another x20 account because new sign-ups are paused.
So you end up going back to Sol — not because it’s the model you want to use, but because Astra has effectively become too expensive to use heavily.
Pretty ironic for a plan that’s supposed to be built for power users.
