China rejected to an AI slowdown. So did the US government. A clear No to Dario's proposal.

Reuters reports that Global Times accused the US of trying “to curb China’s AI development through technological barriers and regulatory monopolies.”

It called the proposal a “silent AI Cold War” that is “hypocritical and short-sighted.”

China’s Foreign Ministry used more diplomatic language. According to AP:

“Fearmongering, confrontation and vicious competition will only disrupt the process of global AI governance which serves no one’s interest.”

Beijing’s position is clear: it supports international AI governance, but rejects a slowdown combined with US restrictions on Chinese compute and model development.

Slow down is over friends before it even started.

People act like they didn’t know about how dire the situation was and how urgent it was for us to voice these strong slow down opinions back when AI 2027 was published on 4/3/2025 for all to read and share.

Now that AI has exponentially improved and folks can suddenly see the negative possibilities, they of course attack people working at frontier companies instead of taking direct personal accountability.

Not that I’m advocating for Grok Bot.
But the fact is..
this is a great workflow and is how agents should be managed.
The end result being measurable metrics that are tracked to show improvement of output.
