Hello President @WilliamsRuto
I hope this message finds you in a sane mind.
I want to bring to your attention the corruption that is going on at the highest teachers employer @TSC_KE. Are you aware that commission is rotten to the core.
It's unfortunate to see the 2022/2023 graduates who have not stepped in an internship joining permanent and Pensionable jobs while 2016/2017 graduates are being subjected to 2 years mandatory internship with a basic pay of only 20K.
What buffles me is the fact that the rotten commission is issuing letters to MPs who are now selling them to new recruits or issuing them to their friends and family.
Mr. President could just admit you're running a corrupt government and introduce a corruption fee deducted just like NHIF & NSSF.
We need all the JSS Interns confirmed come January, that's all We are asking for.
So @TSC_KE has blocked me for calling them out? You can block the messenger but you will not block the message. Teachers Service Commission is Corrupt to the core! We have one message, Confirm the JSS Interns.
I'm FURIOUS and APPALLED by how TSC is treating JSS teachers! I'm extremely DISAPPOINTED!
TSC recruited 21,550 intern teachers in February to teach JSS. Their contract is expiring this December, and instead of confirming permanent and pensionable terms, TSC wants to extend the contract until 2025. The monthly stipend at the start was KES 20,000, but now interns are getting KES 17,000 after being deducted from the housing levy, NHIF, and NSSF.
As if that's not enough, teachers who graduated recently are getting letters for PNP from MPs on the basis of connections, and some are buying from MPs personal assistants. Here you will find a 2022 graduate teaching a secondary school as a permanent teacher, while a 2016 graduate is an intern teacher in primary JSS.TSC has totally refused to allow these interns to apply for any replacement that comes across, as they are bound by the contract, and yet they have to stay for two years in this sorry state. President William Ruto has said not once that his administration has recruited 56,000 teachers. The truth of the matter is that only 9000 were employed on permanent and pensionable terms; the rest are interns. Here is where the problem is: these interns have vowed not to renew the contract due to the problems attached to it; secondly, they have vowed to make CBC not work if they are compelled by TSC or the government to renew this contract; I'm advocating for TSC to confirm these teachers to permanent and pensionable terms as they have served for a whole year as it has been in recent years; they started the JSS thing from scratch, teaching 14 subjects as a single teacher.
For your information, no learning is taking place in those primary schools where JSS is domiciled, from having one or two teachers to having no labs for experiments. Despite the government sending money to those schools,it has landed on very clueless heads who keep on telling JSS teachers to improvise everything.
I'm Bianca, a girl who wishes the best for JSS teachers.
I'm made to understand that JSS teachers are going through untold suffering, starting with the kind of environment in which they were posted.
JSS Teacher who graduated in 2015, then posted as an intern this year (2023 February), TSC has said they won't be absorbed on a permanent and pensionable basis until 2025.
Sources intimate to me have confirmed that MPs are dishing out TSC letters randomly to their friends, children, and relatives. For instance, a teacher who graduated in 2022 or 2023 and has been given a TSC letter by a member of Parliament is currently in senior secondary, while the other fellow is in primary. The same teacher posted on permanent and pensionable to senior secondary enjoys free meals from the institutions, enough resources for teaching and learning, etc., while the counterpart in primary pays every month for meals, with a salary from TSC of KES 17,000 only after deductions from the government.
Again, JSS interns haven't been paid by TSC.
Hello Cyprian please post this to the public regarding mistreatment of Intern teacher the downfall of Jss and CBC thing.I am A jss intern teacher, on behalf of many suffering intern teachers. This year February we entered in internship agreement with tsc with agreement of cornfirmation before July 2023. And the contract is expiring on Dec. Now the story has changed, that we have to serve for 2 yrs with 17k for us to be cornfirmed
,we were not allowed to apply the previous highschool post because we are jss teacher with a notion that we will be cornfirmed before January. Please we believe in your leadership, we believe if you air our grievances something will be done .come to our rescue, how do we go about this? How do we survive with 17k in the interior parts of Isiolo. Its painful. TSc has turned to man eaters , they are happy seeing Teachers suffering. The president is allover yapping how he has employed 56k Teachers, is internship employment? Who will sanitize The ministry, Tsc, of the President and our employer are stage managers of our downfall. Let them know wako kwa Ofisi tuko ground. A dissapointed, demoralised, demotivated and poorly remunerated teacher can not implement CBC. Children will suffer and parents should know.
@C_NyaKundiH It is demotivating and uncooth for the government and TSC Kenya to mistreat teachers in this crude way. A demotivated teacher can't deliver, 17000/- isn't worthy for a graduate teacher who has a family to tend to.#confirmjssinternteachers whose contract is coming to an end.
@TSC_KE@Tsc_Ke JSS teachers are human too,I am sure in the headquarters we have people who work there, they have children, they pay fees, they pay bills. Please put yourself in the shoes of those JSS teachers who haven't receive pay from Feb upto now. #payalljssteachers
