@L_Berlin@Tutrifour@elonmusk@aelluswamy Nah, I always want to be able to override if I need to. I would consider not being able to a safety issue. Some people just need a vehicle with no pedals.
@failedsociety07@AnCapGermany@HansNoordsij It 100% happened. My best guess is the cameras were able to see the child's legs under the car, which was parked in the driveway, running towards the road.
Don't get me wrong, I've had annoying false positives, but I'll take a few of those to help prevent something catastrophic.
@AnCapGermany@HansNoordsij I used to think this way. I am a certified track instructor, no accidents for 30+ years. Recently while driving home, using FSD, the car came to a stop for what I thought was nothing. Turns out it saw a child running into the street. I couldn't see the child. FSD saves lives.
@wholemars I just went on an 11-day road trip across 10 states, almost 3,000 miles, used FSD for everything other than the 11 miles of Tail of the Dragon. FSD is transformative.
@dr__dwayne@TimCliffordFL@jeremyjudkins_ Not going to argue that American cars have slid in quality, I've got a soft spot for Ford, but they like visiting the dealership.
Now I'm curious about Tesla's AP, I'll give it a try so I can speak from experience.
@dr__dwayne@TimCliffordFL@jeremyjudkins_ My F-150 has BlueCruise, it's awful. I assume you're comparing these systems to Tesla's AutoPilot, which is free, because FSD is night and day better.
I'll concede that some cars have better materials, but "quality"? I've paid more in repairs to BMW than to buy my Tesla.
@dr__dwayne@TimCliffordFL@jeremyjudkins_ Until other brands have something similar to FSD, there's no comparison. And I disagree with build quality, I've had numerous M cars, the only thing I miss about them is the massaging seats and soft-close doors.
@akpartisan@MariaDavidson Do you happen to know how Alaska reduces its government employee headcount? California seems to have no effective methodology to reduce headcount or ensure that individual employee performance is satisfactory.
My home insurance:
2 years ago: $1,100.
Last year: $2200.
This year: $3600.
I live in a city, 2 blocks from a firehouse, with a fire hydrant in my front yard.
A 26 year old man used Snapchatโs Snap Map, to find and sexually assault multiple children. A jury found the defendant guilty of 27 criminal charges including lewd acts under 14, oral copulation and more. He's been sentenced to 270 years.
The mainstream media is silent.

Things that still impress me about the Model 3 Performance:
- Handling / grip in foul weather
- Constantly improving over the air
- Cognitive offloading
I've owned 100+ cars and this is the best daily driver hands down.
@SteveHiltonx It has been implemented. I have personally seen repeat theft offenders charged with felonies. It really matters which county you live in, as to how much the prosecutors are leveraging prop 36.
