Deputies along with @LACOFD responded to 19419 PCH, Malibu regarding a small brush fire.  The fire is extinguished and firefighters are monitoring the area for hot spots.
All lanes of traffic in both directions are closed and are expected to reopen in approximately 30 minutes.

Malibu City Manager Steve McClary updated the City Council Nov 27 on the short-term contract he signed with CHP to immediately provide interim patrols of PCH in Malibu in order to improve safety on PCH. Malibu has been requesting CHP patrols since the City incorporated in 1991.

#SlowDown is not only a message for the sports cars, but for everyone out there. These collisions were both on Las Flores Cyn, approximately 1/2 mi north of PCH, cars speeding around the bends. The Camaro was earlier this year and the Prius occurred over this past weekend.
