US was importing Middle East oil to fuel cars so I used #CNG with US natgas for 15 years. Now charging my self-driving Tesla with power from US natgas. #BTU
Why did I stop speaking after Pogačar’s Tourmalet performance?
Because no matter what I or anyone else posted about him or that stage, everything came to one thing… doping. Every single comment section about him is still flooded with people who are convinced they have discovered everything, know everything, and I am just blind, naive, childish, or whatever they think of.
For me, the reality is simple… There is zero credible evidence suggesting that Pogačar or any of the other 5 riders who broke the Tourmalet record are not clean, while there is plenty of evidence that they are.
And I just don’t want that kind of constant negativity on my page or in my life, and I know you can’t fight with these people, because they always have their truth. If you want to watch the Tour de France believing in that negativity, that’s your choice. I’ll be on the other side, enjoying the race I’ve been waiting for all year and being happy with it.

America doesn’t have a resource problem—we have a permitting problem.
I came to the Senate to help fix it and get projects built again.
Good overview here of the work underway ⬇️
We did a family road trip to Taos this week.
5 hours each way.
Our Model Y did 100% of the driving. Zero interventions.
One 12-min stop each way to charge during a bathroom break.
Two 25-min charges in Taos while shopping.
$57 total.
Three things:
1) Most people don’t know that self-driving is solved. It’s mind-blowing and alleviates a surprising amount of mental load. When the supervision requirement is removed, it will be an even bigger game-changer.
2) Once you drive a Tesla, all other cars feel like relics from a bygone era. There are lots of subtle features that you don’t notice until you drive a regular car again.
3) Tesla is light years ahead of all other automakers and that gap will only grow because no other car company can design from first principles.
@theficouple True, nearly all cars depreciate first 5 years. But my Telsa stops for wildlife rather than hitting it, pauses for red light runners to clear intersections, stays in its lane, doesn't rear end other cars, and keeps me road focused when I get distracted. #lifechanger
Meantime in New England and Boston oil - yes OIL - is a stunning 39% of electricity production.
Never, ever seen this high.
Next day power costs (on the left) are super high as well.
300 miles from one of the largest nat gas fields in the world and burning ... oil.
Weird.
@elonmusk Tesla should use distinct tones for left and right blinkers during FSD navigation, like the Apple Watch, so we can tell the direction without looking at the screen.
@KenTumin Mountain America's add on CD's, called "growth certificates" are a fascinating feature - sure is nice to roll funds from maturing CD's into a 5.25% certificate opened over a year ago!
